On Sunday, I went to a fair with my best friend. We met up with two boys, one of whom was my ex and the other my friend. It was fun, and I enjoyed myself. But, I have a boyfriend, and I just felt so dirty afterwards, like I was cheating on him. I don't know why, it just felt wrong. So I asked someone what would be considered cheating besides sleeping with someone else(I don't have sex) or kissing another person. They said flirting. So I got worried. Because how can I hang around guys WITHOUT flirting with them? Everything you do when you hang out with a guy could be considered flirting. Help?

When I was hanging with my ex I felt kind of weird, like I was starting to like him again. I knew I didn't, and it wasn't a feeling I wanted. I wanted to be with my boyfriend, but I couldn't be.

I read a good book called "Every Woman's Battle" that deals with faithfulness in relationships. I'll warn you in advance it's a "Christian" book but it is full of practical advice.
Really the best approach, how would you behave if your SO was there with you. Would you flirt? (Some people would...if both people are comfortable in the relationship they can handle a little flirting).
I ran into the same problem when it came to corresponding with old (male) friends from high school. My partner has access to my email so I am not tempted to write anything "flirty".
It is possible to be friends without being flirty. Takes a little practice if you're used to flirting (spoken from a recovering addict!!)

Since when is flirting cheating? Flirting is totally normal and makes people feel good. Sometimes it gets you a nice discount or better service or backstage but that type of flirting is the exploitation of flirting and a whole different ball game.
I think you just feel wrong because you really wish you could have shared that Fair time with your boyfriend. That is how good girls think and that is good...that's great! Take your boyfriend to the fair and win him a prize.

Flirting is not cheating. You can talk and flirt with any guy you want to. As long as it doesnt go no further then that. I dont believe that even physically touching another guy is cheating. Unless in a sexual way. But if he tells a joke and you laugh and touch his arm or some thing. Its not cheating. If you really dont want to flirt. My advice, stay away from him. Its too hard not to flirt with any guy. Most the time we do it and not even know were flirting. But hey, theres no harm in having fun!

Hanging out with a guy is not flirting. Sitting in the same room with a guy watching a movie is not flirting. Sliding yout tongue in his mouth is. Rubbing his legs during the movie is. Touching him all over is. Since when is talking to a guy about the weather flirting? Or watching the news? Or standing in the street? You obviously did something you feel guilty about so just fess up.

Its common that people flirt. Its a thing that you cannot stop even when you are an elderly person!Though you flirt having a boyfriend and feel dirty and like cheating him,you are not.Its not like having a boyfriend and instead of having sex with him,you had sex with another person.

Well the defintion to flirting is to make playfully romantic or sexual overtures, for some reason I don't think you were being romantic or making sexual overtures, so I do think you were just being playfull as friends. Ofcourse flirting at a younger age is different, but still I think you weren't flirting, just having fun with a friend. Personally, I think cheating as your age is just VERY NOTICABLY flirting, meaning SERIOUSLY flirting, so don't worry.

Cheating is not flirting or sleeping with someone.... if I shake your hand is it cheating? Treason is when you, emotionally and mentally betray your feelings you commiment, your ideal... You can do so by flirting with men and by sleeping with them as well.... I mean you can do it by doing those actions and you can't at the same time..... flirting and sleeping is only at the sirface.... the most important is what you feel in your heart.... If you feel that feeling of cheating on your friend after flirting with other guys then "yes" you were cheating on him...'cause you cheat on him in your heart... it does not matter if you sleep with these guys or not.... your heart is not lying.

i disagree i don't think flirting is consider cheating, because then that would mean the every guy cheats. so, if you hadn't sleep with anybody or kissed anybody then no you are not cheating, u're just having a good time. of course if your married then thats another thing.
