They are VERY Small dogs, Doing research on the breed, temperment, activitys that are approiate for them should have been done before choosing this dog. but yes Very small , indoor dogs, they can go out with you on leash if not in gated area or off leash if gated.

Good luck and enjoy your new furkid

It depends on what kind of dachshound it is- there are miniture (about 2 LBs) and standard (about 15LBs)

Cocker spaniels weigh about 25-30 LBs but generally they are small and short.

Both Cocker spaniels and (STANDARD) dachshounds come from the working or sporting group so they do need some exercise (not a lot but a 15 min walk a day should do) but then again no dog should be kept in a house all day.

Keep your dog inside for severe weather, but when its nice out let him go out and have his play time =)

In my opinion any dog should be an inside dog when it is too hot, or too cold. Cockers need to be inside simply because of their coats so they don't get matted. Daschunds are 99% indoor simply because they are small and make great lap dogs.

will be between 12 and 30 lbs most likey. Depending upon if it's more cocker or more daschund.

both these breeds are small dogs...relatively...about 15-25 lbs. Any dog can be an inside dog as long as you spend time with it and train it not to jump on people entering your home. My sister has 3 austrailian shepherds and they are inside dogs. They still need to run but live in the house. A 15 lb dog is subject to many predators outside, so don't leave it out unattended.

Would be sort on small.
All dogs are inside dogs.
Why have one ifyou are going to make it live outside?
A cocker/daschund mix would be about 20-30 pounds or so.

Small to medium and can spend quite a bit of time outside if you want but would be well suited to be a house dog too.

Train the dog to be obediant in the house. There is no reason to get a dog if you are going to leave it outside. He will be your constant companion in the house. Outside he wil be forgetten and neglected. Neglected in the way that he won't get attention. All dogs should be inddors with their owners. Thats all they want.
