How can you fight someone who is not really there? And doesn't it make you insane(to fight something that does not exist)?

No atheist is fighting an imaginary God.

As the others have pointed out, what we are fighting is the ignorance of those who believe that there is a God.

I'm not an Atheist but I can understand their point. People of the world commit violence, wars and murder in the name of their god that Atheist do not believe exists. If religion/god was proved false there would be no need for people to fight, force their beliefs on others and murder in the name of god. Then everyone could get on to solving the more important problems and take care of the starving, people in need, live in peace and probably be more humane towards other humans that the religious sects are.

I am agnostic, and I do not fight against someone I don't think exists. I fight against the corruption of the teachings of Christ. I read the Bible, and frankly I am disgusted at how severely Christ's teachings have been twisted.

Theists exist. We're fighting them, not their imaginary god. Fighting said god would be insane, yes. It would be just as insane as worshipping him.

I don't. I try to help people out of their delusion. I do not fight the tooth fairy. I don't like to see people exploited by religions.
