Yeah...I did when I was little too. I don't remember the taste anymore but my Dad eventually had to start hiding the bag.

I tried it out of curiosity (and with a bit too much booze in me!). The wet kind, not the buscuits. I thought it very bland and tasteless, like cardboard. However, some smell fabulous when you are hungry. It actually makes my mouth water! That made me realise that the food I'm sure has additives to make it smell nice for the owners who are going to buy, knowing full well they are not going to taste it. I have heard that pet food has the nastiest pieces of offal and butcher leftovers imaginable, stuff that humans wouldn't touch with a barge pole. I feel sorry for cats that have to eat this crap, with the owners thinking that are giving their pets a wonderful feast.

I sampled dry cat food when I was a kid, but what I really enjoyed were Gaines Burgers dog food. Do they still make these? They were processed and shaped to look like hamburgers.

I didn't have any cats. So I didn't and I never would. But I eat fish and milk. They are loved by cats and I love them too.

Yes, the dry stuff though, never the canned sort.

Curiosity can be a terrible thing.
