First question: It is called Overbite and is normal
Second question: Your overbite is too deep. Generally overbite should be 2 mm. based on your description, you have around 8 mm of Overbite
Third question: You have crowding and misalignment of teeth.
Solution: Braces or Invisalign for about 24 months

Braces may not be the answer for your situation. Braces are used to correct crooked and teeth with gaps. But you do need to see a dentist to see if cosmetically then can assist you. As if your top teeth go down as far as you describe they may be removing the enamel from the bottom teeth and the back of the top teeth.

You have an overbite, and you may need braces. I have a friend who also has an overbite, but chose not to get braces because apart from that, her teeth were fine. I'm not quite sure what you mean by your two bottom teeth going up and down and in and out, but that also could mean you need braces. The best way to find out if you do is to get a consultation from an orthodontist.

There is only one way to find out wheter or not you need braces, and that's to see an orthodontist. They will have a consultation with you and describe EXACTLY what they recommend. Sometimes braces aren't needed and there are other cosmetic dentistry procedures to fix the problem. I was told for years that I needed braces, but after visiting a cosmetic dentist, I was told to let my wisdom teeth come in and see where my teeth where after that. After cutting my wisdom teeth, my teeth shifted and then all i needed was a minor procedure to shift my teeth into the right spots. Then I had my gums shaved back to make my teeth look longer and then bleached, and now it looks like I have porcelin veneers. Don't get braces first, get a pro's opinion and see other specialists. Braces are expensive and painful, avoid them at all costs!

Since I can see you, I really can't answer this question. My top teeth do go over my bottom teeth. They only go about half way though- not to the gums. I would see a dentist.

My top teeth also go over my bottom teeth... the other part of the question I dun know. See a dentist if needed, to answer your question. But nothing in the world is perfect .. dun worry too much.

Sounds like you have a very interesting Overbite. A trip to the dentist sounds in order, whether you will need braces or not I don't know.

I am 51 and have the same overbite exactly the same way as you and have never had it corrected nor has it ever been suggested that I have it corrected.

Yes, you need braces. I think that you have an overbite, because you said that your top teeth go over your bottom teeth almost to your gumline, that they were too "forward."

See here: http://www.dental--health.com/faq_overbite.html
on information about overbite.

Always ask for an opinion from a dentist or orthdontist. They will professional assess your situation and determine the best possible treatment for you.

is it suppose to happen, no, but it does to a large majority of people, very few people have perfectly straight teeth and those who do should count there blessings, it sounds like you have an over bite, and crooked teeth, yes braces will fix this and give you a great smile, unfortunately they are costly.

You may have a slight overbite. Everyones top teeth go over their bottom teeth. It just matters how far over they go. check with your dentist only he/she can tell you for sure.
