It depends, there are many terminals (some better than others) and although a lot of people fly through JFK they are spread all over the place so it doesn't seem very different from other large airports.

It's an easy airport to get around in, there is a tram/train that connects all the terminals if you need to switch from an international to a domestic flight. Most terminals have a decent number of resaurants and stores, but double check before you go through security as I have been in terminals with Delta with little to do and wind up leaving and passing through security twice.

You'll be fine

I personally Dont mind JFK at all. I think for as big as it is it is very easy and not confusing at all. It also depends what airline you are using. I fly from JFK to Buffalo about twice a month and have never had any problems and I usually get there Late and still make my flight. I only use Jet Blue which has there own terminal I'm not to sure about the other airlines but I am sure they are set up the same way. Also depends on the time and what day during the week. All in all I do not think it is that bad.... It could be alot worse. Good luck!!!

I think JFK is your typical big airport: sprawling. The Airtrain system makes it relatively painless to get from one terminal to another: the signage was adequate and it didn't take long for a train to pass by. The food and amenities are pretty good: the number and varieties of fast food and dine-in restaurants and bars is what you'd expect, at least in American Airlines Terminal 8-9 and International Terminal 7.

well being form NY i would have to say, its pretty much like any other international airport that i been to. my job takes me allover the world and i been to all most all the major airports in the world. JFK is just like it was shown in terminal (the movie with Catherin Zeta Jones and Tom Hanks). the best American airport is LAX the los angeles international airport, and the best airport that i like out side good old us, was the international airport in japan.

From Newark you'll need to get NJ transit train to Penn Station, NY (being mindful that there's a Penn Station in New Jersey too). Once there, you can 1. Take the A train (express) to West 4th street and change to the F train which will take you to Bergen St in Brooklyn (or ride one more stop and get off at Carroll or 2. Take the A train to Jay St and change to the F train (same as above). I've taken it that you're heading to Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens as opposed to Prospect Heights (there's a Bergen stop there too). Have fun!

It's very busy all day every day. Give yourself a lot of time between flights or to catch your flight. You may have to walk a long way to get your bags. The restaurants are okay for airport fare, certainly not the best, but edible.

It's a typical airport. Busy and crowded. Not too bad, but a little busier that some others.

Well there are lots of aircraft, people with cell phones and laptops and tons of luggage everywhere! It's a veritable feast for the travel enthusiast. If you like people, corridors, and P.A. announcements, you'll LOVE JFK!

Crowded but a lot of space .The corridors are large and all the employees are so helpful.
If you ask me , its a breeze compared to Orlando , Chicago , Philly .
