I'm am agnostic. I believe in God, because I was conditioned from a very early age to do so, and it manifests so usually during hard and stressful times. But at the same time, I do have a logical mind that knows better than to believe that the Holy Bible is the word of God, but writings by ancient men making such a claim, and if you think of it, there are thousands of such writings that never made it in to the Bible.

So yes, I believe in a higher power, but no, I don't believe that the Bible is the world of God. I will be more likely to study the Bible to use it against the fundamentalists who want to shove down their religion on the rest of us, than to find any "inspiration" from it.

As far as living a moral life, I try as hard as I can (in my capability of a flawed human being) to treat other people the way I want to be treated. Some days, that's easier and some days it is a lot harder. But ultimately, I can't possibly go wrong by following that approach, and if more people would try that one simple approach, the entire world would be a far better place to live in.

Better live in an Non-Theist society where there's world peace, than in a Theist society that is full of war and conflict.

In General:
One has to pray the God, if he has trust in Him.

Religions preach how attain the eternity.
The religion and prayers are the exact path to lead us to the door steps of Almighty's blessings.

No religion owns God (as claimed by some preachers.)

Coming to the question:
My inner thoughts are always human; I can create a situation like the one you have mentioned (but it is not at all true).

I pray the Almighty for the peace of my mind and for the immediate family members.(I am also a selfish human)

I have listened some theological lectures, in that the priest claimed he talked to the God during the prayer! I don't trust such a claim!

He is the one who controls the entire universe. He listens to everyone's agony/requirement and offers a solution to the one who really deserves.

Always He leaves a shortfall with every human being and the human being see that as a very large draw back in his/her life and through out his/her life time begs the God to give all good things to him/her. (how much selfish?)

Imagineworldwide is right. There is a Higher Power - which many refer to as The Light - and the Bible was not inspired by The Original Creator (who has yet to come) but by Group Entities of angels at best.

<< Deeds which are considered most valuable on the Other Side are those which express love in a greater, purer and unconditional manner. >>

<< Life is very important because how we have lived our life largely determines how far we can go into the light. >>

I've been a spiritual medium for many years.

In all my experience, I have never come across an Ascended Master. The best available up there right now are the discarnate Saints in the Higher Realms of Spirit.

Many Group Entities (or collectives of discarnates in the Mid and Lower Realms of Spirit) love to use their combined energies to project the illusion of being a deity to those in the flesh. It happens everyday.

However, with time and experience, one learns how to see through the facade.

For example, I have had Group Entities in the Mid Realms of Spirit, with the characteristic yellow Dominant Aura Color, declare to me...

JESUS IS LORD.

Whereby I simply pull out my trump card reply which invariably shuts them up completely.

I respond with...

If that is so, they why does he not stop many pedophile priests, ministers and nuns - who preach in his name no less - from sexually molesting and in some cases, raping, thousands of innocent children around the world.

Their energy dissipates and they end their attempts to manipulate me into accepting their FALSE GOD.

I'm always suspicious of my "inner thoughts", because it could be just me (this is called "inner locutions"). But I know I need Him.

Senses, feelings and emotions aren't as important as reason. You can reason out the need for God, the existence of God, etc., and decide to love Him, regardless of what you're sensing, or how you are emotionally that day. That is consitent love.

Prayer and meditation - I use one prayer commonly and meditate on it as I go through my day.. General the answer is to do the "next right thing"..

The Serenity Prayer is a prayer written by Reinhold Niebuhr on July 1 1943 for the Union Church of Heath, Massachusetts. It is used in Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and other Twelve-step programs.

The short version that most people are familiar with goes as follows:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

The full version of the prayer is as follows:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can; and
the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right, if I surrender to His will.
That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.

God speak to us all the time. In fact if you don't hear him speak to you, then you should worry. "God is a Spirit..."
Now how can you tell which spirit is speaking to you, because we all know that the devil has evil spirits and then there is the Holy Spirit.
Well, the good book says that the Spirit will lead us into all truth.

God speaks to us through his written word the Bible. Yes, indeed we need him more than ever to guide our step. Everyone is created with a spiritual need, whether they recognize it or not.

Read Mathew 5:3 “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them."

No, your inner voice is your subconscious. God does not exist and is only a metaphor for good. Ditto for the devil. These are NOT real beings. All made up.
