I challenge anyone who doubts our evolutionary origins to go to a wildlife park and spend some time watching any of the great apes. See how their movements and behaviour so closely match our own. See them care for their young as we do. See the expressiveness in their eyes.

Unless you are completely insensible, I guarantee that you will be awestruck, not by how different they are from human beings, but how obvious it is that they are our close relatives, separated from us by just a few million years of evolution.

Bekah: That story you heard about Darwin is a flat-out lie perpetrated by people who are desperate for you not to realise the truth.

yes, I have. And I agree.

The Bonobo monkeys are particularly 'human' in so many ways, as are chimps and Gorillas. And by and large, they're much nicer than most people. I don't know why anyone would not want to be related to them. Accept for some silly kind of chauvenism and misplaced self importance.

Have you also noticed how closely related a horse and a deer is ? Mere coincidence ? No , it was God's plan . If you look at it this way , there has to be a difference of intelligence between all the different beasts and animals of the earth , some are smarter than others . Genesis 1:26 If you read this Scripture and notice the part about man being over all animals and creeping things there is no doubt we are above all of them and smarter than them or we would be sharing the planet with another species that is also dominating . The Bible has all you need to understand , give it a real chance and read it again . God bless you and your family

In order to be a creationist you must doggedly insist on burying one's head in the sand, conscientiously fail to look at any of the evidence, and then make sweeping pronouncements about science which you do not even begin to understand.

Creationists are by definition those who choose to be blind. Expecting the blind to observe is unfortunately unrealistic...

Other than the ethological evidence, which you comment on, there is a huge quantity of paleontological and genetic evidence for human evolution from apes. It takes a special kind of bloody-minded ignorance not believe in it.

I read this book on apes and I wish I could remember the title now but the author was a field biologist watching chimps. This female was in season looking for males and this male came by waving a branch with tasty fruit on it. She went into the bushes with him and then the biologist saw them later together eating the fruit and watching a heard of zebra pass by,
Is this proof of the existence of "Dinner and a Movie" in other species?

u do know that even darwin decided not to believe anymore in his evolutionary "theory" before he died right? and if we came from them how come they're not still evolving? yes they're similar but thats it..they have similar needs as us so God "our creator" gave them sum of the same abilities as us becuase thats what they needed to survive. but if you want to believe you came from a monkey or an ape then lol go ahead..if u do then ur brains are similar..

Yes I agree. I once saw a gorilla being kept in a small cage and I looked in his eyes. It broke my heart because I saw he was feeling everything a human being who was imprisoned would feel.

I like your photo. Reminds me of a little guy that used to live with me.

Creationists have absolutely no observational skills, it was extracted and replaced with the "dominion" skill, this skill helps them to see that animals are just to be used for entertainment and food (and the occasional Old Testament blood sacrifice).

I agree. It is for this reason that I have a hard time seeing the great apes in zoos. It is very sad to me.

apes, monkeys, gorillas are similar to humans, but not the same.
if we say that humans evolved from apes because of resemblance, i find it hard to comprehend, Because my neighbor looks like a horse, and definitely, his ancestors weren't horses. I looked around the market, meat secttion, why is it that those who ssell porks resemble pigs, those who sell beef, resemble cattle, and so on.Try observing them.

Oh wise Guinea Pig!
For the most part the main difference is they treat each other better that we humans do!
