It may mean that he's seeing another girl. Or one of the other milion reasons why he might of said another girl's name. Do you know the girl? Maybe they are in a project together, maybe he doesn't recognize you r voice, he made a mistake, he was expecting a call from, like a doctor or something, or it's his sister, a family member, or an ex. Or that he's human and makes mistakes. It may mean nothing. For a while I kept calling Sophie (my friend) Sephanie (my cousin). I called Sam (my cousin, Steph's sister) a name that I forgot, but had no relation to me whatsoever. Don't be worried, but if he does it often ask a question about it, just don't do it constantly now, or get all up in his face, it'll freak him out and drive him away.

Maybe that other female name's his sister's? Or a colleague's name? Don't conclude too soon just because he mentioned another female name. It doesn't reveal anything about his feelings for you. But if you keep questioning his motives, he'd definitely mention a long list of female names in future!

It means he is human and therefor falible.Women need to stop bugging out everytime a man mentions another females name. Men have every right and capacity to have female friends, just as women have every right and capacity to have male friends. Unless he says, oh and btw I nailed this girl named jenny yesterday, I wouldnt worry about it. Harping on such things will just drive a man away.

If you are dating it means that he's messing around on you. I actually had an ex-boyfriend call me and ask for another girl when we were dating. I told him that's it...its over! I hope that your man had a damn good excuse. If he called her by first name only, you should follow your instincts and dump him. If you give him a chance, he will screw up again. Sorry, but I learned from things that happened to me and just think that you may benefit from it. Whenever you have a thought, please follow your instincts!

You have competition either in reality or in his reality so you should protect yourself and your feeling. Don;t get too attached until the issue is resolved and you know the reason. Don't make him lie to you by a direct question.

probably nothing...I've called my husband, MIKE, Chris before. Chris is a salesman I work for.
I've also called my SON by my brother's name.
I wouldn't worry unless he does it all the time.
