If I could buy a puppy it would be a greyhound that I could train and race (and hopefully breed).

It depends...do you want a big dog or a little dog? Indoor or outdoor? Calm or very active? Just as an overall opinion...I have had many different dogs. Dachsunds are VERY playful and VERY loyal, but not very good with children. My favorite dog in the world is a golden retriever. There isn't a more loyal dog. They do get quite big though. But you can't go wrong with a GR. Amazing animals.

I would get a mongrel. Mixed breeds are healthier and live longer. If I wanted a dog I'd go to the local animal shelter and pick out a cute one! My approach to pets is to wait until God sends me one. I've had several cats and dogs in my life, always just when I needed one!

I'd adopt a dog at the animal shelter. You get a dog that needs a home! As for breed, any old breed for me, it depends on the dog when I get there.

get it from an animal shelter or home.. cos tt's where the animals really need a nice, loving home :) but if u want a pure breed, i personally love a west highland terrier. it has a nice cute face that will melt ur heart away.. PLUS, it's a big dog which comes in a small package ^_^

A Cocker Spaniel or Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
I love the sad eyes, long ears, soft hair, loyalty, friendliness, protectiveness and unconditional love.

I would "adopt" a Rottweiler. They are a beautiful, smart, good tempered, and loyal breed. They are sooo misunderstood. Although, I do have a soft spot for Boxers too. They have so much personality.

I have one Pit Bull and I would like to get another from a rescue shelter when I get a little more settled in life.

They are great dogs who have terrific personalities. They are fun, .loyal, devoted, clownish, and of course extremely affectionate.
