BEST RUM CAKE EVER

1 or 2 qt. rum
1 c. butter
1 tsp. sugar
2 lg. eggs
1 c. dried fruit
Baking powder
1 tsp. soda
Lemon juice
Nuts
Brown sugar

Before you start, sample the rum to check for quality. Good, isn't it? Now go ahead. Select a large mixing bowl, and measuring cup, etc. Check the rum again. It must be just right to be sure rum is of the highest quality. Pour one level cup of rum into a glass and drink it as fast as you can, repeat with an electric mixer. Beat 1 cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 seaspoon of thugar and beat again.
Meanwhile, make sure that the rum is of the finest quality. Try another cup, open second quart, if necessary. Add 2 arge leggs, 2 cups fried druit and best until high. If druit gets stuck in beaters, just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the rum again, checking for tonscistricty. Next, sift 3 cups of pepper or salt (it really doesn't matter).

Sample the rum again, sift pint of lemon juice, fold in chopped butter and strained nuts. Add 1 babblespoon of brown thugar, or whatever color you can find. Wix mel. Grease oven and turn cake pan to about 350 gredees. Now pour the whole mess into the coven and ake. Check the rum again and bo to ged.

mmmmmmmmm. Go to a store such as Albertsons to buy mixes for cakes, or buy ice cream and chocolate syrup and cherries. And mix frozen berries in a blender to make a smoothie. Serve in a fancy glass, and for a finishing touch, a candy on top.

Cheese Cake with Blueberry Sauce

Crust:
2 1/2 cups (625 mL) whole wheat bread crumbs
2 Tbsp (30 mL) soft butter
1 Tbsp (15 mL) Sucanat or Rapadura sugar

Filling:
2 8-ounce (250 g) packages cream cheese
2/3 cup (165 mL) Sucanat or Rapadura sugar
4 free-range eggs
1 lemon--juice and peel
2 tsp (10 mL) pure vanilla extract
500 mL (1 large container) sour cream

Blueberry Sauce:
5 cups (1.25 L) fresh blueberries
2 Tbsp (30 mL) honey
1 Tbsp (15 mL) arrowroot powder or cornstarch
1 Tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice

Knead all ingredients together. Line the bottom of a nine by 12 inch baking pan with mixture. Bake in preheated oven at 400 F (200 C) for three to five minutes. Let cool.

With a hand-mixer combine cream cheese, egg yolks, lemon juice and peel (make sure you completely wash the lemon before scraping off the peel) and vanilla extract. Beat egg whites until peaks form and fold into cake mixture. Pour mixture over crust and bake at 400 F (200 C) for 20 minutes. Cake should have a skin. Let cool for about 30 minutes.

Stir together sour cream, sugar and vanilla extract and spread over cooled cheese cake. Reduce oven temperature to 350 F (180 C) and bake for 10 more minutes. Let cool and refrigerate for 10 to 12 hours.

To serve, decorate with fresh berries or kiwi fruit. There is no limit to your imagination.

In a blender, purée three cups (750 mL) of blueberries. Pour into sauce pan and add arrowroot powder or cornstarch. Cook on medium heat until sauce starts to thicken. Let cool and add remaining blueberries, honey and lemon juice. Taste for sweetness; add more honey if needed.

To serve, slice cheese cake and pour blueberry sauce over each piece.

Peach Melba Smoothie
Ingredients:
1/2 cup frozen sliced peaches
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup fat-free sugar-free vanilla yogurt
1 tbsp wheat germ
Granulated sugar substitue equal to 1 tsp sugar, optional (see package label)
1 cup ice (see Note)
1/4 cup unsweetened orange-juice concentrate, thawed

Instructions:
Place the ingredients in the order listed in a large blender. Pulse once or twice, then blend until smooth.

Notes:
For best results, let the ice melt slightly, usually for about 5 minutes at room temperature. If possible, use smaller cubes---not crushed or chipped, but not the standard trys, try filing them with cold (rather than hot) water before freezing---the resulting cubes will be more prone to shattering.

i have been making those for over 15 years and they are surprising! Chop and freeze bananas and strawberries, placed them into ziptop bags then freeze. Freeze sparkling raspberries and sparkling blueberries in baggies, too. once each thing is frozen troublesome, in one day is perfect, then get out the blender! upload 12 oz. chilly apple juice, a million/2 cup strawberries, a million/2 cup bananas, a million/4 cup blueberries, a million/2 cup raspberries. Now turn on the blender. it will turn a incredibly fuscia and could flavor better positive than any keep offered smoothie or sorbet you have ever tasted. I in no way upload dairy or sweetener to my smoothies, they are all one hundred% fruit. they are so reliable my youngsters and husband beg for them!!
