I came up with 'casa da fazenda' but I'm not sure if people use that. 'Barraca' might be ok for shack. Any ideas? Also, it needs to be Brazilian Portuguese. Thanks!

I`m Portuguese,i would say fazenda(farmhouse) ou rancho and barraca for shack

I think you're right in both instances. Brazilian Portuguese is very different to the original Portuguese.

I’ll give you the portuguese from Portugal version and the portuguese from Brazil version.
Portugal:
Farmhouse = casa da quinta
Shack = cabana (but barraca is also correct)
Brazil:
Farmhouse = casa da fazenda
Shack = barraco
