This is because they are no longer allowed to outright kill people who choose not to believe.
Do you remember the inquisition?

He does love you. It is your choice though. All you have to do is choose. It is very simple. There is no terror tactic, just your choice: Heaven or Hell.
It started in the Garden of Eden. Mankind made a choice and it was the wrong one. Don't you respect someone who gives you the choice? God gave mankind a choice. Paradise forever and ever or a simple apple from the tree of knowledge. We made the choice that damned us forever. God then gave us all a second chance and sacrificed his own blood to do it. Could you do the same? I have two daughters and I could not. But God gave his only son so that mankind could make that choice again, for themselves. All you have to do is make it. Paradise forever or damnation in Hell.
I do agree that alot of religions use a wrong tactic. I wouldn't call it terror tactics, but unguided just the same. The facts are this. Christians are just as bad as everyone else. And this comes from a strong Christian. We fail and sin just as much as the pagan. Sometimes even worse if the Christian hides behind the cloak of hypocracy. But, we've made a choice, whether it weak or strong to follow Jesus. Note: Christians remember this: the lukewarm will be tossed aside at the day of judgement. Anyway...
It is a choice. Just know the consequences and don't listen to the tactics. Read the bible and pray, you'll see the way.

That is not true. If it scares you, then maybe a part of you already believes.
No-one scared me into believing. I believe because I see what God does, I know what he can do and I know that he is the only way. If you just open up a little and listen or watch, you will see that you don't have to scare people - it is just. The evidence of his being is enough to believe.
Give it a chance.

The Bible tells us that God only disceplines those with faith. but he judges all. What i'm saying is a Christian takes those things as an act of God or soemthing to avoid. others become more bitter when those things happen or just make comments like yours against Christianity. God bless

Society does the same thing.. Obey the law or you'll go to jail.. There is consequences to every part of life. Why is it so strange to see that where would be consequences to rebellion against God?

Thats how people get roped into believing it. They were probly introduced to it as young impressionable children and fear took hold and now they cannot let go. Its so sad that parents try to force such things on their children. You shouldn't belive in god out of fear.

because historically religion has been used by the ruling classes to control society.
It's the main function on a societal scale.
That doesn't mean I think people who find comfort in it should reject it. If it helps them, fine. But let's face it, it has been used to promote fear and justify warfare for centuries.

God doesn't terrorize ANYONE. You just fail to see that He will punish those who sin.
