I am redoing this one, but it seems like people from other counters are coming in then taking over. It is very hard to call your ISP or the computer people who made your computer or even things like MSN or Microsoft, I one time got the run around between Microsoft & Dell [my computer], they would keep telling me to call the other & one time I had big problems [computer crashed] & they kept telling me to re install windows & call back, dad did & they told us again to do it, so dad left & I called them back. I think if people are in the business of helping they should learn the business, but these people who come here seem to do more then take our jobs. They also seem to want to take over our church buildings & other stuff, I cannot even go in to a good food place without repeating x amount of times. I do understand that people do leave for this or that reason, but how would they like it if we came to their country & started taking over things. Thank you all & God bless.

What does this have to do with other countries taking over?

Because you are a closed-minded person who does not understand how the world really works?

If your "big problem" in life is that the computer crashed and Dad wasn't around to call the 800 number, I can tell you probably haven't even graduated high school. Do us all a favor and go take over someone else's country - walk a mile in their shoes.

Because our government thinks it's right to let companies hire foreigners to work for way below the minimum wage laws. That is why they are dragging their feet on the illegal immigration problem. And that is also why companies like Wal Mart, have factories in China, where workers earn less than a dollar a day. Also why companies like Verizon, AOL, Earthlink, Yahoo, and many electronic companies have customer service reps from Asia and Africa: Just so they can pay about 10 cents an hour to them. These companies get rich off profits and pay extremely low wages, so they lose very little money.
And many of our politicians have stock investments in these companies, so it helps line their pockets too.

1. Learn to spell. I assume you meant countries.
2. Many times when you call customer serivice the person is not in this country. I know several large companies have outsourced their customer service to India.
3. Immigrants only have jobs that Americans will not take.
4. God doesn't discriminate.
5. What have we done in Iraq and Afghanistan?
If those are your worst problems you have it good.

aren't microsoft and dell american companies? what on earth does this problem have to do with people from other countries?

so, you have problems in your life, and the best way to deal with them is to blame the people that everyone else is blaming for their problems, even if those people have nothing to do with your problems.

yes, there are some non-americans working in customer service (both here and located in other countries, like india). the fact that they're not american doesn't mean they aren't able to do the job. believe me, i've dealt with americans on the phone while trying to get through computer problems, bank problems, phone problems, etc, and couldn't believe how bad they were at their job.

The problem with companies like Microsoft and Dell is that they outsource their call centers to India. The Indians are not in the US, they are in their own country, calls are routed there.

They just need a job, or at least one that pays enough to get by. I know how you feel, my husband is a computer programmer, so he has had to deal with being laid off and salary decreases over the years because now he has to compete with Indians who will do it for so much less. But you know, they have to make a living too. They have families they care about too, so you can't really blame them.

Don't blame immigrants for our problems. What's wrong with this nation is we're just a bunch of conglomerates fighting for the almighty buck. What we really need here is the old fashioned mom and pop operation businesses where you looked your customer in the eye and personally dealt with the public. You spoke to someone by name not this "press 1 for this","press two for that".

Wow....that makes no sense what so ever.

You do realise that the big companies give contracts for things like call centres to places in other countries because it's cheaper right? What that has to do with immigration I don't know.

I am not one to bash anyone for coming to this Country, Because we( our people) years ago came to this Country and took it over. So like they say what comes around goes around.
Yes i can relate to what you are saying about making phone calls and having a hard time understanding.
