i always hold my breath and plug my nose and count to 30 or until i cant stand it. If that doesn't work get a glass of water and hang upside off a chair or something and sip the water. Hiccups means your spinal column is out of alignment, that is an almost guaranteed way to fix it!

I drink a cup of water upside down. Put your lip on the outside rim slowly tip your head forward and drink the whole cup as fast as you can. I used to get killer hiccups, especially if I was drinking beer- this worked every time!

Find the spot in your upper mouth where the hard palate ends and the soft place begins near the back of your mouth. Press your finger ( clean of course ; - ) on this spot and apply slight pressure for ten seconds or so. You may have to repeat this two or three times before they stop. There is a nerve located in this area that controls the reflex. It works almost every time.

You have to take your mind off of them completely or believe truly that something will work to take them away. Like drinking water I never believed that would work and it didn't. Eating a spoonful of peanut butter does work for me and I get hiccups so bad it makes me wanna puke. Try peanut butter, spoonful of sugar or holding you breath for a long time(like till you can't stand it) And when you do it, believe it's gonna work. Mind over matter. Good Luck

Don't people get hiccups from having too much air in their stomach? If so then you could try swallowing three times while holding your breath.
If that doesn't work, then you can drink water while upside down!

eat a spoonful of sugar, drink a full cup of water without stopping, breathe in and out of a paper bag, get someone to scare you, hold your breath for 20 seconds...those are some. don't try them all at the same time though :)

Drink a full 20 ounce glass of water without stopping. If that doesn't work, have someone whack you on the back.
