trust me ista if someone is bad mouthin christianity or any religion for that matter, i will strongly oppose them.
islam forbids mockin others beleifs and faith. but yet there r some perverts who speak wrong things bout jesus as well(pbuh).
if u want u can check with surah al-kafirun in quran
"i dont worship what u worship
nor do u worship wat i worship.
i sahall neva worship wat u worship,
nor you worship wat i worship.
u hav ur own religion and i have mine"
where can u find a verse that says it all much better than this. islam condems mocking other people's faoth and beleifs. but some perverts do it.
infact there is no more freedom of speech than in islam but when some1 does offend us, then even v cant tolerate that.

It's really hard to ignore someone who constantly harps on you saying that you're going to hell for not believing. I live south of the Mason-Dixon line; I probably can't walk 20 feet without encountering a Christian. But most of them I *can* ignore, and *do*, because they don't talk to me about their religious beliefs. So I *do* in fact "mostly ignore" your kind, just like you suggest I do. But if someone is going to be rude to me by invading my personal space and effectively accuse me of insanity by questioning the way I view the world, *I* don't have the belief system that says to turn the other cheek, thank you very much!
If you've had atheists respond rudely to questions you've posted here, that were not addressed at atheists, then recognize those for what they are - the rude actions of individual people. Just like I recognize evangelicals' getting in my face as the rude actions of individual people (since, as I mentioned above, most Christians in my life leave me alone).
Also, bear in mind that it's uncommon to find people who were born and raised atheist. I think about the only thing less common is finding someone who was born and raised neopagan. I don't have any statistics to back my thoughts on this, but I would wager that a lot of the atheists and neopagans you encounter (especially the rude ones) have adopted their belief system as some sort of reaction to Christianity. Either they lost their faith after a tragedy, or they have seen the worst of your kind and decided they'd rather not be associated with them, or they're rebelling against their upbringing.

1-Because they are truly evil at heart.
2-They are blind to the testiments of millions of others throughout the history of the world.
3-If they were true atheists, they wouldn't care what a christan thinks or be bothered or take the time.
4-They are tools being used by Satan trying to corrupt the righteous.
5-Their beliefs are based only in their world and in what they can physically see.
6-We are doing our God given job and they are not. They're lazy.
7-And finally the real point: They feel threatened, mostly because inside they know they are wrong.
Pray for God to show them the light and make his presence known in their lives. Then when they persecute the righteous, God will step in and guide them His way, which they surely will not like. Pray for them. :)

I'm agnostic, so this only slightly applies to me.
My issue with Christianity is that I was roped in when I was a child, so it was forced upon me, and I never felt comfortable in the Catholic Church.
I personally believe that you can believe whatever the hell you want. What does it matter to me.
But Christians have been doing that for hundreds of years. What about all the missionaries that go to Africa to "enlighten" the africans about God and what not?
So maybe the atheist that attack your faith are just making it full circle.

I am not an atheist but I think that possibly they want to make us feel as dumb now as they will feel once they face judgment. However, we know that God is right and what the Bible says is true. They may feel proud now but one day it will all come back to haunt them. And I think another reason is because they are fighting God themselves. God doesn't want anyone to be lost. Don't fret though because even the horrible things that are said about us may cause others to study and find the TRUTH for themselves. Pray for those that are truly seeking answers.

Your statement is false.
It is the changing world that is destroying the faith not us.
We say "I believe that God doesn't exist", but we don't insist.
In Yahoo! aNswers... it turns out that God believers are challenging, questioning, judging us atheists!
We are just replying to you whatever judgment you lay to us.
You asked the question!
We give our answers but we don't insist you to believe on us.
Your faith's lack in precision and accuracy makes it weak, therefore shameful.
That is the reason why many biblical ideas are now taken as lessons for value formation instead of being studied in science.
Most ideas present in the bible are now only symbolisms

Personally, I don't like so many self proclaimed Christians trying to legislate my private life. That is what pushed me over the edge. You are welcome to your point of view, I just wish you had kept it to yourself.
So you see I don't "hate god", I just hate the people that try to make me live by what they interpret to be god's laws.
and to answer a post a little further down, I don't care for any of the other religious folk either, but they are not affecting me as much here in America.

Why are so many christians conumed with what atheists do and say. I am agnostic so I do belive in god. And I can assure you that most atheists are just that atheists. They do not belive in god they belive in things that can be proven. If you don't belive something exists how can you hate it? Christans are just as obsessive about the doings of atheists as atheists are about the doings of christians. Christians are just as spiteful towards atheists as atheists are to them. Whether you want to admit it or not christians are guilty of acting holyer than thou and shoving their beliefs down other peoples throats. And not only that but they try to scare people with "you're going to hell if you don't accept jesus as you're lord and savior." Agnostics don't tell you that you are going to be punished by god for beliveing in fairy tales. Everyone is guilty here not just the atheists.

As I've found out from hearing from these so-called "Atheists" almost all of them are only against Christianity and not against buddhism, hindu, or islam--only Christianity.
You see, the reason Christians are being so persecuted on here is because everyone knows our God is the only true one and they are afraid to admit it.

I just love it whensomeone suddenly gets a wild hair and decides they KNOW exactly what other people believe.
Why do self-proclaimed Christians go around telling other people what to do? How they should believe? How wrong they are, how guilty they are, how deserving of hell they are... etc........
Hypocrite... you are doing Exactly what you are complaining about them.
You HATE Pagan Gods, don't you... you know they exist. ancient writings PROVE this. otherwise, why would you try so hard to deter pagans from their Gods?
DO YOU SEE HOW STUPID THAT IS????

Actually, I'm indifferent to God. I stay out of his life and he stays out of mine. Part of why he stays out is because I don't believe. To say that "Everyone believes in God" is a lie because 2/3 of the world is not Christian. My problem is when Christians try to use a weak understanding of science to prove God exists (look into questions about air...) or when they say that we're all going to Hell because we don't accept Jesus. I don't argue with the faith. I don't have a problem with religion itself. I have a problem when people try to use it to justify alienating and offending people. There are people on here that do try to offend people with stupid questions or tirades. They are on both sides of the theological fence. One can be dispassionate and still be offended when told, "Accept or burn!!"
