Would you like it if a guy proposed to you on your Birthday? And if so, would it be of if he faked you out by buying you a terrible gift , watch your look of dissapointment, and then suprise you by propsing?

Ok. It depends how she is. Some girls will reply no because it should be a different occasion but that's because there are selfish girls out there and they want as many gifts as they can get. If your girl likes to be showered with gifts then this might be your road. But if not, I think it would be perfect. The big huge thing is that you'll BOTH remember when it was. I think you have a GREAT idea and I would LOVE it if it was me. I wish you the best of luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

That's a good idea. I would never had thought of that. But if my boyfriend did that to me, I would be a little mad that I got a horrible gift. Then the greatest gift would come after wards so its a toss up if I would like that or not. I'm more of the romantic unique proposals. I have the perfect one in my head and I hope to someday live that fantasy. Good Luck!

I guess in a way it'd be kind of mean, but if the guy knows the girl well enough to propose, then he ought to be able to predict her reaction.
Not sure, really. It might be taking a chance. If she likes really romantic, serious gestures, then I'd have to say no, don't do it.
But if the girl has a wacky sense of humor, she might not mind.

I wouldn't want to be proposed to on my birthday just because it should be a separate occasion. It's like how people get upset when their kids birthdays fall on or around Christmas. I would definitely suggest proposing on another day.

Don't do it on her birthday as that's a whole other celebration. Make the proposal special on it's own.
I don't like the whole fake crappy present thing - it sounds stupid but maybe you have the sort of relationship with her that it works.
