As a child, I had Scarlet Fever, and in the 70s, perhaps even today, this was serious business.
When I was 13, I had viral meningitis.
When I was 15, I fractured my skull trying to skateboard behind a car ala Christian Slater.
At 16 I busted my knee and my shoulder in a football game.
At 22, I fell off scaffolding while pouring a concrete building in El Salvador (I was a Navy Seabee). This broke my back, and required multiple laminectomies and fusions.
At 30, I was in a car accident, and broke my neck. This resulted in another fusion in my cervical spine.
I have had my radial ulna nerve in my right arm relocated.
I have had 4 surgeries on my right knee, and 2 on the left.
I have PTSD.
I take 2 morphine pills a day (15 mg each) just to be able to do everyday things like get out of bed, use the restroom, sit, stand, walk, etc.
I have 3 beautiful children, ages 13, 5, and 3.
I have a wife that loves me and puts up with all of my crap.
I have a nice house, in a nice neighborhood, and drive a nice truck.
I live with more pain in a day, even with the meds, than most people could tolerate in a lifetime.

All this, and I'm still here. Sitting at my computer, wondering why I am not more thankful to Him than I am...

Thanks for this question, it really forced me to examine my own spirituality (or lack thereof).
God has done a whole lot for me. I guess I just don't take the time to recognize it as I should.
Thanks again :)

Yes, I love God, and decided to live to serve Him when I was just 13 years old. I am 50 now, and have lots of testimony looking back over the years.

He has forgiven my sins
He has healed me
He has taken away fear
He has delivered me from destruction
He answers my prayers
He works everything out for my good.
He provides for my needs
and so much more!

He is a good God.

I hear you on that one.

I used to share a flat with God, it was small, cramped we got along at first. Then he started playing up...

Eating my food, leaving his washing all around the flat, never washing out the sink after having a shave. That last one always used to get me going. The last straw was when I had a hot date, and I was getting ready, and I realised he had used the last of my aftershave.

"God! I can't live like this!" I shouted. Keep your hands to yourself. We had an argument, then he moved out the next day.

We still text.

Jehovah created his only-begotten son, and with him created all the angels, the universe, our first parents, allowed them to reproduce so we could live, sent Jesus to pay our debt so we can live forever, lets me breathe His air every second and eat His food and Walk on His earth, inspired a little book and preserved it so I can know Jehovah and his plans and purposes for mankind and have hope that this mess that Satan made is temporary and that God's Kingdom will remove all its enemies.

He has personally given me the Heavenly hope. I used to have the hope of living on a Paradise earth, but that changed one day in 1997.

Praise YHWH/Jehovah for He is awesome!!!

I'll give you a very short list:

Blessed me with birth in the US, a place where I can easily and freely worship Him,

Intervened directly in a car accident that would likely have killed me and my passenger. We both walked away with a few minor scratches.

Daily blesses me with good health, financial security, enough food, resources for entertainment, good friends and more

He created baseball.

I love God for everything He gave me. Some people are born without hands and feet, some get killed, and I love God.

I beleive in god, but he is not my friend.
I can sit at a table with gods of all religions and they will have a hard time in explaining why man cant teach his children to love.

There is no evidence he has ever done anything for, or against me. Mind your own business. I respect your right to believe in God, if you respect mine not to.
