I went and took my driving test last week and passed. The best way to calm your nerves is to not think about the instructor to much and how nervous they are making you. Think of something that makes you happy, like your bf,or having a good time.

If you're not calm enough to drive, you're not ready to take your driving test. Reschedule your test. If you're scared of the written portion of the test, there's nothing to say except a big "GET OVER IT".

By the way, it's actually illegal to drive under the influence of anything that would "calm your nerves" such as Valium or Xanax. If you take any medication that says on the lable "Can cause drowsiness, use caution while driving", you can be held responsible to the fullest extent of the law if you cause an accident while driving.

Practice, practice, practice - when you feel confident in your driving skills, you won't have a thing to be nervous about.
