I think I will link all of my questions to this one. Tell me what you think?
For those that like to point out the shortcomings in others, (specifically me) allow me to help you with your endeavour. I am slightly overweight, quick to temper, overly pensive, condecending, thick headed, arrogant, and self serving. Although I strive to change these things, it would seem that isn't good enough for some, allow me to say that I try not to embody these qualities on here. I also have a real interest in spiritualism, and wonder why it is that people are so nasty towards each other, as I think that if I can answer that question, maybe I can change too. Would anyone like to add to the list for me?

1. Clearly your greatest moral transgression is having placed Tool *above* Incubus on your 360 page. Tool shouldn't even be in the same CATEGORY as Incubus.

2. You DID spell condescending wrong.

3. You falsely claim to be condescending. Clearly, you have never met me.

4. You have misguidedly judged arrogance and self-service to be shortcomings. Selfishness is always preferable to selflessness. For the self. And when the self is happy, usually other people are too.

5. You have either not discovered or failed to mention that the underlying cause of people's nastiness is fear. Take you, for example. You have not only failed to criticize others, you have opened yourself up to criticism, and indeed INVITED it. And coincidentally, most people would view this as a "brave" thing. Can we not then assume that acting out of fear would produce an opposite result: a post designed to insult and criticize others?

6. That's all. You seem otherwise to rock. =)

Hey now--let's keep a balance. We all have both positive and negative traits. And if we are honest enough (like you apparently are) we recognize them both.

I don't know why people are so nasty to each other. Perhaps it's the medium of the internet that brings it out more. Perhaps they never learned manners and the importance of being polite. As a rule, I think before I type and then go back and read my answer again before sending it. I may use irony but not in a cruel or insulting way.

I will add one more thing to your list. You have a way of asking good thought-provoking questions. I like that. Your questions have the depth that many are lacking.

Hey Sin, no need to feel you have to change, you're not the bad guy here. Answers is overrun with people to whom theirs is the only "right" way and who will stop at nothing to try to convert the rest of the world into their belief system (good luck, say I). If you want some semi-intelligent conversation, feel free to contact me. Although I do not consider myself a Christian, that does not make me anti-religion or anti-spiritual. I did spend my youth in a Southern Baptist church, while still holding to my wiccan natural abilities and my Druid training. I believe there is what men call "God" (though I see it as being the Divine Spark of energy that resides within all life and has the power to create from itself. I have earned my title as Druid Elder as well as teach with the Oestara Seminary of Magick and the Gathering of Ancient Knowledge. I would love to talk to you, if only to get you out of this rut you seem to be in, and show you that there are people here with an honest interest such as yourself.

Brightest Blessing to you and yours,
Rev. Heather Noel

I can add a few things. In addition to the flaws you listed, you have terrible fashion sense and you are wearing a goatee, which is soooo 1993 it isn't funny. In modern times, only child molesters wear goatees. You don't call your mother enough, and you think it is funny everytime you fart, and your friends don't appreciate this. It seems that everyone but you notices that your feet stink, and they all want you to get foot powder. You don't save enough money and you will retire poor. And finally, the cashier at your food market is really tired of seeing you in the 15 items or less aisle when you have 17 things. Don't be that guy anymore.

I can answer why people are so nasty toward eachother. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says, "1 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."

Notice verse 3 says "not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness." Does that not describe people in general today? These verses are signs that we are living in the last days.
As for your shortcomings, it is good that you recognize them and try to change them. Paul admonished that we put on the new personality. At Ephesians 4:22-24 he says, "that YOU should put away the old personality which conforms to YOUR former course of conduct and which is being corrupted according to his deceptive desires; 23 but that YOU should be made new in the force actuating YOUR mind, 24 and should put on the new personality which was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and loyalty." Many people have done this by making an effort to study the Bible and learn the truth about God while forming a friendship with him.

I think that all the rest don't matter when it comes to your affairs . They can all take a hike or join the crowd . Proverbs 18:21 applies to this I think , be careful what you speak , your very words can come true . God is not prejudice and loves all . All those "nasty" qualities that you say you have can be changed , just believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved . John 14:6

You have to remember there are teenagers on here that don't understand what you are talking about and LOTS of narrow minded people that can't comprehend simple question. The reason alot of people are mean or nasty towards others is because they are immature and feel the need to lash out at others because their own lives suck. I wouldn't let anything anyone said on here bother me, Non are professional shrinks, doctors or literary genesis.

I totally agree mate! You pose questions on here and people just take the opportunity to be rude for no apparent reason at all! guess its the fact that they arent brave enough to do it in real life, and all too easy to hide behind a profile where they know they cant be got at! Philistines the lot of them!
