With a digital signal, you either have one or you don't. In other words, it's not like the old analog signals that could be degraded by an inferior cable. Get the cheapest cable that works and that's as good as it's going to get (today anyway).

Monster M series is a joke...they compare favorable with the Monster Ultra series. Monster happens to be more of a marketing company then an electronics manufacturer unfortunately. If you're going to invest in premium cables look for Audioquest, those are awesome, totally worth the expense. Cables that use silver as part of the conductor and weld the tips are a better investment. Bottom line is screw monster.

RE:
Are monster cables M series worth the price?
I've been looking into connecting my Dell HD LCD Screen, my Home Theater in a a box and my Comcast DVR. Are the Monster M series cables HDMI the way to go? They seem really pricey.

Search the net and find the lowest price HDMI cables. You should be able to get 6' for about $30 - $40. Don't pay premium for digital cables, they either work or they don't, and if they work, you are getting the best quality you can. Digital is not like analog, where poor cables can degrade the signal.

I have sold monster cables in the past they are great cables... i will say this they have great margin in them. You will not see any monster cables in my finished theaters as of today. Just about any thing is better then OEM cables but i make my own. They are just double shielded cable with silver tips. (gold if it is really nice system). I have not seen a cable that truly works better. I just attended a training from blekin on the new cables they are bringing to market. Their tech is every bit as good as Monster they just don't have the ad campaign to back theirs up

Monster M Series are good (better performance than OEM cables that come with consumer electronics), but there are better performing cables for a similar price. One fine example is DH Labs Silver Sonic. Reviews are available online to research.

Escpecially since it's a digital signal (HDMI), I would NOT buy Monster. They are way, way overpriced. You can find good quality HDMI, or any cable, at www.monoprice.com I don't know exactly what type and length you need but it will be roughly $25 at monoprice vs. $100 + for Monster cable.
I purchase all of my cables through monoprice. Fantastic service too.

NOOO. They are a complete waste of money. All HDMI cables have the same standards to reach according to HDMI.org.
Your just overpaying for the same cables.
