death is death. It's the one thing all people will have in common. All things living die. It's a part of life. Just accept that fact and make the most of the time you have now. Yes, death is quite scary, but what really is scary is a life where nothing is accomplished, nothing done, a life where you have never and will never leave an impact upon the world. Often times, it is the dying who accomplish. Lance Armstrong for example. he was dying from cancer, and then he won the Tour de France. His motivation led him to becoming the world's best athlete. Death is a thing to accept. Being afraid is fine, but not living in fear.

Just make sure that you do everything the Christians tell you to do...that's a little hard because there are many different denominations who say to do different things but to be sure do them all ....receive sacraments, hate gays, be against abortion and stem cell research etc.....also always vote republican and don't ever have sex until you are married to another christian and don't enjoy it when you do only do it to have children. Just try your best to be judgmental and opinionated and treat white people better than any other ethnic race and you should be just fine and get to go to heaven. Where the streets are paved with gold....i am not sure why they need streets in heaven if they are for cars or if you walk and you would think god would have come up with something better like transporters or something but they say they are gold. Which really wouldn't be a good material to make streets of because it would reflect light and get super hot but either way there you go

Don't let your fear paralyze you. Death is one of the few things that we know is inevitable but have almost zero concrete knowledge of what will happen when we get there. For Christian's, our faith in the promises of God allow us to face death as a life change. This is where you need to begin searching your soul for what you believe. As part of that search, I hope you will approach Christian friends or perhaps a clergyman if you prefer it to be more anonymous.

Death should be viewed as a companion rather than an enemy though. Death is what makes life worth living. Knowing we are limited to 70-100 years of life (and sometimes less) we need to learn to cherish each day we are here and make the most of it. If you were guaranteed 10,000 years of good life, what would a day mean to you? How easy would it be to just sit down and "veg" for a few centuries?

Death is Ominous. Mysterious. Unknown. Yeah, it’s a bit scary too.

What is it about death that really scares us? Shakespeare describes it as "the undiscovered country from whose bourn no traveler returns." And I think therein lays the part that really bothers us. We simply don't know what, if anything, to expect. It seems to be a giant leap into ...who knows where?

Death is just what it is...the conclusion of this life. And the truth is... nobody gets to live in this world forever. I don’t think it’s meant to overshadow your every thought and it shouldn't take away from the important thing. Life. That would simply be a waste.

If you want to get over your fear of death, there is only one way I know how...

Fill your life with life and make it as meaningful as possible. Fall in love, Get married, have children, learn about things around you, do your best, experience joy, experience pain, become the best person that you can be, go to parties, read a book, make lots of good friends, love your family, eat, drink... whatever... Just live.

That’s just how I deal with it.

My philosophy. I've decided to let death take care of itself. What choice is there? When I die, I hope there is continuance. I hope there's a heaven and I hope I get to see the people that I've grown to love again. But if not, then I will simply cease. No pain. No sorrow. Just nothingness. If that is indeed what lies in store for me, then there won't be a “me” around to mourn the sadness of it.

I think I can accept that.

Sometimes death is scary for everyone.

But trust God, accept Christ as the Messiah, and you have nothing to worry about. Devote your life to serving God, and you'll never die. Just don't be the type of Christian that goes to church, prays at night, but then doesn't bother with God outside of that. Spread the word! Don't be ashamed!!

Jesus paid for our sins, so we don't need to worry about death anymore.

God bless!

I understand.. I have had periods of time where I doubted my faith and the blackness of the grave was overwhelming. To not hold my faith in Christ dear gives me no hope for anything more than a cold grave. I am older than you the grave is nearer to me. Christ has promised me by my faith in Him that I will live forever as his child. He has also given me evidence that His words are true and trustworthy. One of the best place to find this evidence is phylsms 22. It was penned by King David 900 years before Christ. If you want to read it keep that in mind. If you see that this is strong evidence then remember the same God that told David to write this told us that He loved us so much that he sent Jesus to suffer for all our sins and if we would Trust Jesus to forgive us that God would give us eternal life. I will pray that you can find peace in the promises of God.. You can always email me if you need to talk more about this..Jim

I get scared at times, but can not deny the inevitable. That is fear itself and not THE GOD.It is not death I fear, it is the situation. Will it be a peacefull death for me, or will it hurt. But to me it is like going to the doctors office. You know you have to go to get better, but you don't know what will happen.I am a hanif-muslim and the only thing I truly fear is dying as an unbeliever. For most are in heaven today(that of jesus). So what about tommorow(the hereafter). As long as I have peace and can "BE".I am more than content and do not ask for what HE/SHE/IT has me ask not.Sometimes I fear, but most of the times I fear not.So I question that fear.

its very natural for many to be scared of death .... but i have a saying .. there is nothing to fear but fear itself ..
getting some knowledge on death and dying is a good way to eradicate fear
if you believe in god then you really should have nothing to worry about ... you live a good life .. you go to a good place ( that's the general consensus isn't it ? )
if you don't believe in a god then you wont believe there is anything after life which is nothing to fear at all except to simply not exist

the most common thing for people to fear though is leaving people .. yet since the beginning of time we have lived and died and people grieve but they live on and heal with time

if i can help explain death and dying in a spiritual way .. with my belief in spirit and spirit realms .. i would be happy to share ...
don't get me wrong i don't want to preach and that's why i am not putting my thoughts here as it wasn't asked for .. but if i can help in any way possible .. please get in touch xx

I'm a Christian and I would lying if I said I wasn't scared of death. I'm scared whether of not it would hurt, I'm scared I won't be here with my family. Yet, as far as where I'll end up, I have the hope of JESUS.
Jesus saids, Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) It's just a simple prayer to God (Jesus). God's gift is free and for everyone who is willing to trust in His name for salvation. I will pray for you. God bless you.

lots of people are scared of death, that's because we don't know for sure what comes next, we've never seen it. it's normal to be scared of the unknown, but it's also something you can grow yourself out of. you're scared of the unknown, so get yourself used to facing it. get out of your comfort zone and try new things, things that are a little scary for you. learn to deal with new situations and new people all on your own. as you get used to facing the unknown and trusting yourself to deal with it, the big Unknown will look less and less scary to you.
another good thing to do is to become better aquainted with God, if you're a religious sort. as you become closer to Him, you'll feel His spirit, and feel more comfortable with the idea that He is waiting for you. death is still scary, because we have something called a survival instinct, but it doesn't need to be terrifying. Jesus said "Peace I leave with you, peace I give unto you." as we learn to trust Him and HIs plan, we'll feel less uncertainty about where we're going.
