Any natural horizontal posture is fine. To feel more refreshed it helps if you work on the mental posture, meditate before sleeping or just tell yourself to be refreshed the second you wake up. The latter is a matter of believing, but that will kick in after having a positive experience a few times. The only disadvantage is that when you forget to do either is that you have a bigger chance of a longer sleep lag after waking up.

I have been told to sleep in the recovery position ( on your side with one leg over other and arm bent in front of you .) Its really comfy and dont forget this is what they do when something unfortunate has happened !

A chiropractor told me it is best to sleep on the back, it doesn't do any harm to sleep on your side, but avoid sleeping on your front.
