If somebody created god, then who created him? and who created him? and who created him? Asking that kind of question is no use because the answer would only push the origin of everything back further and further... The inescapable truth is that 'something' or 'somebody' must have existed for all time before the physical universe. With the evident design inherent in life the universe and everything it is clear to me that it must have been a 'somebody', I agree with the comment that has already been made that since god created the universe and trancends it - and as time itself may be a concept that he has also created - then he is not restricted by the same rules as us when it comes to time, besides we are not designed to be able to comprehend such subjects, thinking about it too much will do your head in!

If you believe in a God that is omnipotent and that he created everything, including time, then that would mean he existed/exists outside of time. Without time, he would just exist, no creation necessary. It is impossible to explain where an omnipotent being came from. He either always existed, or he was created. If he was created, then someone beyond him had to create him. Even if you take God out of the question, when trying to explain where anything came from, you go back to a point where something had to come from nothing.

I don't know. I believe there is a creative force in the universe, but don't have any specific religion. God is supposedly outside time, beyond time, independent of time, and current physics theories suggest that time is cyclical anyway. See link below to this profound idea.

God is the exception to every rule, don't you know that by now?

God is the formulation "not-everything-man-knows"

Man knows a changing, cruel world. God is unchanging and benevolent.
Man knows a limited, mortal existence. God is unlimited and immortal.
Man knows material, temporal entities. God is non-material and timeless.

Belief in god is just negating everything you see in the world. If that's not the definition of delusion, then what is?

God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Meaning that God has been there forever and will be there forever. God was not made by someone, He has always been there.

I love this question :)

Or what about this:
Creationists argue that complex living systems require an 'intellegent designer'. But the 'intellegent designer' itself must be a very complex living system indeed. So who designed the 'intellegent designer'? And who created the creator of the intellengent designer?

It's turtles all the way down.

Watch the creationists say that god has no creator... right after they've been arguing that EVERYTHING must have a creator!

They'll then exempt "god" from their own made up rules.

Talk about hypocrisy.

I love this flippant "He is alpha and omega." They think at that point the discussion is over, even though what they said is meaningless and unfounded. Many Christians ask me why I don't consider their "arguments." It is because they have none, they just have glib little catchphrases like most of the answers you are getting here. And they wonder why we laugh.

Has someone told you? I rather suggest you go back and ask again that person who told you.. why he did forget to tell you who made God? Anyway, God is everywhere. When you asked this question he's with you... I'm sure
