YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!

It takes less than a minute.
Work this out as you read.
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!!!
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to
have
chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (go on)

3. Add 5 (carry on scrolling down)

4. Multiply it by 50 (By now you should use a calculator)

5. If you have already had your birthday this year Add 1756 ....
If you haven't then

Add 1755..

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born from the amount
you have.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!

It's simple maths. Replace the number with x and you'll see it works for any number. This has been going around since I started work 22 years ago (and probably before that). It usually has something on the end like, "This is the only year this will work". Of course it's not!! Just change the 1755/1756 each year to be 251/250 less than the year we are in.

Sorry, have I spoilt your illusion of magic numbers?!

section as a function of container length A(L), is (2/5)(L - 8)² using 640 cm², sparkling up for length L. 640 = (2/5)(L - 8)² Simplify precise-hand edge 640 = (2/5)(L² - 16L + sixty 4) Multiply by via 5/2 to sparkling fraction 1600 = L² - 16L + sixty 4 combine like words L² - 16L - 1536 = 0 ingredient using FOIL (L - 40 8)(L + 32) = 0 L = 40 8 is a actual answer. L = - 32 is algebraic, yet no longer lifelike.

No need for a calculator - regular chocolate consumption stimulates the brain well enough to do /simple/ funny arithmetic ;)
