Tell him flat out that you want him to hold your hand. It's really not that big a deal.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Some say love, it is a river that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger, an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower, and you it's only seed.
It's the heart, afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance.
It's the dream, afraid of waking, that never takes a chance.
It's the one, who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give.
And the soul, afraid of dying, that never learns to live.
People say they 'find' love, as if it were an object hidden by a rock. But love takes many forms, and it is never the same for any man and woman. What people find then is a certain love.
Love, like rain, can nourish from above, drenching couples with a soaking joy. But sometimes, under the angry heat of life, love dries on the surface and must nourish from below, tending to its roots, keeping itself alive.
Lost love is still love. It takes a different form, that's all. You can't see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around a dance floor. But when those senses weaken, another heightens. Memory. Memory becomes your partner. You nurture it. You hold it. You dance with it.

Take his hand. You sound like you're in middle school. I'm not trying to be mean, believe me. I'm just saying that I think you're too young for a relationship. But I know you're not going to listen to that because I didn't when I was your age. So, as long as you're in a relationship, don't sweat the small stuff like who's going to hold whose hand first. Be bold, but be SMART.

Take his and show him how you like it. As a shy male I can say this is very effective. Take the lead a time or two and he'll come around.

Or just wait for him to initiate. I believe it will be worth the patience.
