It's not just a good idea, it's the law.
Or does the Bible tell us otherwise?

If we assume "God is the light" wouldn't this imply limitations on God?

It has been proven that the Light that we use in this CREATION (EARTH and Star System), can slow down and speed up. It has to obey Law's that the CREATOR put into this CREATION.
I really don't think we have found the Limit's of this Light that we use. Science change's all of the Time, especially when Old Long Believed Theory's of Science, are Re-thought, by New Discovery's.
JESUS saw satan "fall as Lightening" from Planet HEAVEN to the EARTH. That's pretty fast, it's in the BIBLE. Hope this helps.

As far as we know anyway... We used to think the speed of sound was a limit as well because the frequency equation would basically go to infinity at Mach 1, and we thought that infinite frequency meant infinite (or at least near-infinite) energy. It didn't help that pilots at the time had a REALLY hard time pulling out of any dives that approached the sound barrier.

Give it 200-300 years, then I say we'll find a way around this "limit". :-p

Not exactly something that puts any limit on God. Who made the light? So who made the law then? Sounds to me like the law maker is the one that made the light so He could do whatever He wanted or chose to do since He is the one that made not only the law but the light too.

Ummm, you be "testing" the fortitude of the Religious Dogmatic Ones and they will unleash a torrent of Biblical Babble that will make your head spin ;-(

They will say stuff like, God is a "special" kind of light that knows no boundaries!

God is the Light of all Lights and he resides in a Spiritual Universe that men can not even begin to comprehend!

They can even use the Biblical Babble to proof whatever they want without any proof whatsoever.

They can even prove you don't exist! So be careful my friend, lest you be sucked into the infinite void of "Biblical Babble". *-) LMAO

If I prove to you that Mohammad PBUH traveled from Mecca to Jerusalem at light speed, and to heavens at unknown faster speed do you admit that Islam is the truth?
Back to your question: God is not made and not composed of any thing you may think of (not matter, not energy, not photons, and not limited by time or space) as He is above all this and all are his creations.

They claim that physics don't apply to thier god and their god can transcend the law. I would say it is a limit, but Star Trek, Stargate and Christians would disagree with me.

What is that, the speed of light?

Um, what's your question exactly...? ^_^

EDIT: Ah, I see since you added additional details.
Then, no, that would be silly. That measurement (which is still under debate, by the way!) measures physical light.
God's "Light" is something else, it would be spiritual and silly to compare to a physical, imperfect thing anyway.

How do extraterrestrial beings return and forth... first and best, that's a hundred% hypothesis, that's exciting. :) properly they could decide for some style of deliver. enable's assume that they have got a deliver that's able to travelling on the fringe of the fee of sunshine, for arguments sake. They then could the two decide for a ability of a deep freeze hybernation and one heck of an automobile pilot, or maybe they are able to open some style of bubble/container purely in front of the deliver as that's travelling that ought to enable for bending the regulations of phisics in user-friendly terms adequate to create a sturdy approach for long distance return and forth in a quick quantity of time. Or if we are decrease than the pretence that breaking/bending the regulations of phisics is impossible decrease than any situation, i could imaging that the belief of the wormhole, or travelling with the aid of a rip or tear in area/time is additionally a attainable answer. a third thought is that there's no ought to return and forth quicker than easy--perhaps this deliver is their residing house. Like if the "extraterrestrial beings" lived in Maine and offered a motorhome and purely cruised around america. Now think of which you lived in California and a motorhome surpassed by using and you questioned how briskly it had to flow to get there. Does or no longer that's counted how briskly? finally, it ought to come to a decision to end by using for a flow to. I have not have been given any doubt that for a fashion huge in length the universe is that an alien species or 2 is for particular to exist. If their technologies facilitates them to make a deliver to return and forth with the aid of area at large distances, they're guaranteed to have been confronted with technilogical annoying circumstances to triumph over. Now in spite of if those annoying circumstances contain brending/breaking/or cheating the regulations of phisics will reamin a secret till they drop by using of their motorhome or till we are technically stepped forward adequate to drop in on them. wonderful question! ~Ant
