Well lets se, it's kinda like if you end a job or a relationship, it's not necessarily the end of the world. It just means that there are new and better things ahead for you!

it's like "With every ending comes a new ending". It's exactly what life is all about. The fortune,in my opinion, tells you that when you come across failure or sadness, you have to move on and have hope for a new beginning and a different ending, that you should not live in the past but live in the present.
it could also mean that with every mistake is another step to freedom/a better life.
whatever the fortune means i guess it points out something about life and it randomness. i'll end this with a quote from forest gump:
"Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

Everything you have gone through in your past goes with you into a new situation and helps you handle new experiences with more ease, knowledge and confidence than if you had never had the previous experience (whether that experience was good or bad). Some past lessons won't assist you until further on...but you are always at least partially prepared for the next new experience.

"when one door closes a new one opens"
"every exit is an entrance to new experiences"
they mean the same thing, for example. if something goes bad like you get fired from your job something good will come out of it like you will be offered a higher paying job!

I agree with one door shuts another opens. Always look on the bright side of life. Every cloud has a silver lining. Spin the cliche.
In any case, it sounds like something we can all live by and remember when we get jealous or something bad happens to us.

Example: When you break up with someone (exit) you have the opportunity to find someone new and better. ( enter new experiences) It applies for other things too. Like when you get fired or you move.
