I have an idea for an invention for an electronic device, but I'm not electrical engineer. How do I get the invention out and marketed?

you need to start documenting all of your thoughts, write everything down, i mean everything... then you need to talk to an engineer in the field which your idea applies and see if it's even feasible... or you could go with one of these invention companies, (search the web under submit inventions), but they will make all the money cause they are doing all the work.
And you would have to get a patent http://www.uspto.gov/web/patents/howtopat.htm
there are instructions on how to get that done so if someone comes up with the exact idea, they have to pay you royalties.... but it's alot of hard work if you do it yourself, my bro in law did all this for his invention and he has been waiting years (and all his money) for his idea to take off..

You don't have to be an engineer to patent am idea. You only need to have a clear idea of what the device does and be the first to document the when you had the idea. After you research the idea and put in an application into the patent office, you can then start shopping around for someone with expertise to pull it off. Your idea doesn't need to be the next evolution of technology. It can be a simple stand alone device that fills a need no matter how specific. try visiting the patent office to get a better understanding of the process.
