An IQ of 100 is supposed to be the average of the entire population. 120 is usually considered to be about average, though, in that it is probably the modal value.

Cecil is wrong - average IQ is 100 - 120 is super! According to www.mensa.org, if you score 120 on an IQ test, the likelyhood that you could score high enough to join Mensa is great. Mensa is the society of super smarties! :)

One test score during one developmental period good or bad doesn't mean( no pun intended) a lot. It depends on test you took, but believe taking into account most stand deviations that over time and more than one test scores 120 would solidly put you in average to slightly above average category

I think maybe it was a fauty test. If you IQ measured 120 and you don't know what that means, you may want to retake it.
