I feel like your boyfriend.
I love you had become a clique and when you just regurgitate it back to someone because they say it to you...... it doesn't mean much.

My boyfriend says the same thing when he tells me he loves me and I pause for a moment... before telling him, I love you.

He asks me if I have to "think about it". The answer is no, I just want to take a moment to get those little tickles in my stomach when I think about how much he means to me before I respond.

I don't think he doesn't love you, I think he just wants you to know that he really means what he says and that's OK.

But he has GOT to still say it more than once every couple of months!!! That's not right either.....

he could just think that it's being thrown around too much. You need to talk to him either he's not interested like he used to be or he needs to at least say it every once and a while.

Usually when people stop saying I love you its almost the end.. sorry hon

It means he doesn't want to say it just to be saying it. He only wants to say it when it feels special. But if he hasn't said it in a couple of months or even a couple of weeks, then I say, he probably doesn't feel it that much anymore.

His actions should tell you more than words. Has he changed the way he treats you? He may have been professing love to get you hooked, now that he has you he feels less need of it. Watch how he acts when he thinks you aren't looking, and how he treats you in front of his friends. That'll tell you more.

No need to worry he still loved you, but you two for so long together maybe he thinks that don't have to say that anymore.

Tell him you want to hear it. Why does he have to wait until it seems genuine? Is it not already genuine love? If he loves you, he should have no problem saying it. I went through this same problem with an ex girlfriend. try to work it out with him, try to find out why he doesn't want to say it.

Pay attention to what he does, not what he says. Is he being any less caring, or considerate, or loving.

If his actions are still those of someone who cares for you, then there is your answer.

You're probably over reacting. Guys don't always say what they feel passionately about. They assume that you already know, cause they've told you before.

boys are so stupid.... I dated a guy like this once, he turned into a real jerk about saying it, and eventually i was like well I dont want to have sex with you unless it means something.... That will change his ways REAL fast. Good luck!

What bad advice... force him to say it by saying you won't have sex with him? Yeah that's smart...you do know he will lie to get sex right? If he isn't ready to say it, he might not want to commit. Think about it.
