I have had pain in my ear that comes and goes for a week now. When the pain comes on it's pretty intense and it feels like their is fluid buildup in it. Also, my eyes have been burning on and off and I get sick to my stomach. The doc gave me Cipro for the ear and I've been on it for 3 days but it doesn't seem to do anything. Any recommendations as to what this could be?

have the doctor do a culture swab !!! to determine whats going on inside your ear. do not use Q-TIPS !! you could make matters worse for yourself. you could have a fungal infection in your ear. which i hope is not the case, it sounds like you have candida !! and that takes a long time to get rid of. i hope to god that i'm wrong, i wouldn't wish this on anyone. i'm still suffering from this today and it started out with an earache. place a cottonball inside your ear, in case it starts to drain . it could also affect your outer ear and face. i was put on all sorts of antibiotics ,and that is how i ended up with the candida. email me at rosie_enz2000@yahoo.com if you need more help. good luck to you i pray to god that i'm wrong .

Sounds like maybe allergies are causing some fliud build up in your ears and itchy burning eyes. The Cipro may be causing the stomach upset. Make sure you eat with your cipro and finish the full course, try taking an over the counter med for allergies like claritin. If you're not feeling better by the end of your antibiotics or things get worse, call the Dr.
