Don't take it personally. Some guys at a young age do feel kind of awkward especially if they have not had a close relationship with the opposite sex before. He may have felt like he wanted to show off in front of his friends, he may have been really shocked that you asked him out and just did not know what to say - so he said something horrible and hurtful. But don't worry about it, whatever the problem is it is the young man that seems to have it.
You must be confident about yourself. After school do the things that you enjoy doing and I am sure that you will quickly make new friends that share your interests.
If I were you, I would not give that boy the time of day again, unless he at least realises himself that he behaved wrongly and chooses to apologise.
Why am I telling you this?
Well, when I was a schoolkid, I was really shy and a girl asked me out. I did not know what to say and for some reason felt embarrased that my friends all knew through gossip what was going on. So instead of just saying 'thanks but no i cant' etc, I did say some pretty nasty things that I regret even now some 25 years later. But there was no truth in what I said then, I did it to 'look cool' in front of my friends. I am so sorry for what I said to jenny all those years ago.

I wonder what age this guy is? Most decent adults (even men!) generally acquire a sense of tact and diplomacy and a sensitivity to others' feelings as they mature. If this person is aged more than about 13 he certainly isn't acting like it. A decent guy would have dealt with the situation very differently - even if he didn't fancy you he would have turned you down gracefully so that you could still have felt good about yourself. This person has shown himself up as being a bit of an ****, I feel. He's lacking in something very fundamental, which is tact, decency and good old-fashioned good manners. And he is too self-conscious to accept your asking him out for the compliment it was and to react with good grace - maybe he feels insecure in himself. He needs to mature and until he does I suspect he will not make anyone an adequate boyfriend.

Hes got the whole issue of good looking girlriend syndrome... Without blowing my own horn.. i aint bad looking myself and have found from men that the reason they say that is they cant be arsed with the competition and the whole dominant male thing!!!
You know sometimes its nice for men to actually see the less than high mainenance side of you.. I think thats why my bloke now approached me!!!
(I was having a bad hair day!!)

You're a girl right? Sounds like it. Thought I'd better ask first anyway! Sorry. You sound like a dream date/friend. I can't explain why you got such an abrasive reception from this guy. May be he prefers men! Or at least needs a good talking too! Stupid fool.

The boy is just acting like most immature boys do ... Ignore him and find one who does like you ... I'm far too old and married but from your description I'd be interested! Maybe I could introduce you to my 16yo son?
You'll find a boyfriend soon enough - just make sure he's a bit more mature than this other loser!

Maybe the looks is not the problem, maybe is your attitude. Maybe he likes somebody else and he's pissed off about something.
If you re as pretty as u say, how come you re asking guys out and not the opossite?
