Everybody knows how to make lemonade, right? Squeeze some lemons, add sugar and water. But how to make lemonade so that it tastes right everytime? Here's a surefire method.
Remember the starting proportions - 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, 1 cup of lemon juice.
The secret to perfect lemonade is to start by making sugar syrup, also known as "simple syrup". Dissolving the sugar in hot water effectively disperses the sugar in the lemonade, instead of having the sugar sink to the bottom.
In a small saucepan heat the sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved completely. While the sugar is dissolving, use a juicer to extract the juice from 4 to 6 lemons, enough for one cup of juice. Add the juice and the sugar water to a pitcher. Add around 4 cups of cold water, more or less to the desired strength. Refrigerate 30 to 40 minutes.
Serve with ice, sliced lemons.
Serves 6.

Simplest way is to
1) get a bag of lemons, squeeze the juice of 10-20 ( depending on how sour you want the ade ) lemons into a pitcher.
2) fill this pitcher half-way with warm water and put in about 2/3 cup of sugar ( you may want it sweeter or less sweet ) and stir like crazy. The warm water helps the sugar dissolve.
3) fill the rest of the pitcher up with cold water. If the lemonade is too sweet, dump some into the sink and add more lemon juice and water. If not sweet enough, get a glass, fill it with hot water, and dissolve however much sugar you think you need in that, then dump the sugar solution into the pitcher.
Some people like adding zest ( grated lemon peel ) , crushed strawberries, or crushed mint leaves to their lemonade. You'll need to experiment to figure out what works best for you. Cheers!

Simple syrup, 1 big lemon per glass, water and ice.
Wash the lemon, open it and take the seeds off.
Then put the lemon (with skin and all) in a blender (high speed) with all the ingredients.
Then strain and serve.
It gives you a very special lemonade, but be aware that you can not prepare lots in advance because if rested it gets sour.

Lemons, Water and Sugar That is what I used to make it with when I sold it at my Lemonade Stand when I was little.
1 fresh lemon for every 2 glasses of water. Sugar it to taste... You can even use Splenda if your watching your calories.
Enjoy!

What shevchenko said....
If you use plain ol' sugar, it won't taste near as good as if you use simple syrup - which is the one cup of sugar and one cup of water heated until sugar is dissolved.
You can use the same principle with LIMES - oh yum!
And here's another one. Instead of using water, use black tea and make a tea-lemonade. This is really, really good over ice on a hot day.
Enjoy!
