The standard road lane is approximately 18 to 20 feet wide. In the US a vehicle can not be any wider than 9 feet without requiring special permits so that gives the vehicles a buffer zone of 4.5 to 5 feet on either side.
Add in a 9 to 10 foot shoulder on either side and you have a roadway that is between 44 and 60 feet wide.
Of course this is all dependant on terrain. Mountain roadways are going to be more inclined to go to the minimums and flat-land roadways will be more to the max.

I believe that from center line to shoulder for one lane is 18' so I'd go with 36 ft including both shoulders
