I have my own belief system too, which I've never seen anywhere else. So tell me what yours is...Maybe we fall into the same category! ;)

No two people have the same set of theistic/religious beliefs. Even the most pious person customizes (makes up) their own theology. In other words everyone makes up their own make believe god. That's why it's a joke when a theist calls someone a non-believer... the whole rest of the world is a non-believer because nobody agrees on theology.

So, tell me more, just what is your set of beliefs - if you really want a category.

A freethinker? A spiritual person? A critic of organized religion?

If you are a freethinker and have your own beliefs, why do you need a religion? You can be spiritual but not religious.

Religion is the faith in God contaminated by man.

Why do you feel the need to label yourself? If you are smart enough to think for yourself and not follow the heard then why try to lump yourself into any kind of category.

I tend to think of freethinkers as those who separate religion from reality. If you do this i guess you could consider yourself a freethinker.

sorry but you will either bow or burn. You eiother believe in the One true God or you dont. There is no middle ground. If you mix it all up and take a little from this religion or a little from that religion, you are like almost eveyone, lost. Read the Book of Romas and check out the Romans Road to Salvation. Jesus loves you and there is only one God.

Well maybe if I knew more about your religion, I could tell you which category you belong to. I would say that you are "spiritual", or you could get a bunch of people to follow and believe in your religion and then make it an actual, serious thing.

If you think you have your own version of religion and you you do not consider youself an atheist, why ask others? If its not God or Satan or a daiety, what else are you praying to? It is not your own version of religion if you dont have an object or a subject but an empty dream or an empty vessel that you think is a religion you believe.

You're an independent. I'm the same way. I called mine the Society of New Reasoning, for people confused by all the contradicting religious doctrines. We have decided not to argue religious points, only focus on what is right vs. wrong, good vs. evil.
