I think that when your hair has no colour in it and after 20 years of this you just give up on colouring it because the white hair just appears again within weeks as in my case so i just leave it white but you can imajine the shock of seeing new coloured roots appearing as a mousy brown colour as it was when i was younger and it feels that i am getting a new head of hair and colour without any effort could you let me know if this has happened to anyone else and what has made this happen at my age of 62 and it puts a younger look on me because white hair drains the complection and there was no way i could colour it I would appreciate an answer as soon as possible as i feel this is amazing whats happening in front of my eyes every day. Thank You
D Paterson.

How interesting! I've never heard of that happening, but I'm curious as to whether or not you're taking new vitamins or have a new health regimen or something....I'll research this! :)

Yup, this is not as uncommon as you think.
Technically hair colour is supplied by specific cells in the hair follicle called melanocytes (or something similar). These get attacked by the bodies own immune system and stop producing colour.
In your case something has happened and the melanocytes have been switched back on.
The change is due probably to a change in diet. Various micro-nutrients are being supplied that were perhaps missing before.
Known nutrients that can do this are inositol, zinc and paba.
When you work it out you should write a book on it. Most people would pay good money to turn the clock back!!
Well done!!

Some medicines will bring the color back. Have you started a new Medicine? My husbands hair turned darker after a heart attack from the medicine.

This is so fascinating! I hope you enjoy your new look.

For myself (54) I have long gorgeous silver hair and I hope this never happens to me. I love my gray. It sparkles at night and in the sun.

Have you asked your doctor.....STUD? (lol lol) Enjoy yourself.
You sound so cute!

I'm sorry I don't know, but I hope you don't mind me writing to say congratulations, I hope it carries on coming through. I will try to research it though.
