You are thinking of faith in the wrong context.
Faith is belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. Faith is also "The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God's will."
I have never seen God or Jesus in a person form. I have however seen the miracles of God through the Bible, the beauty of the Earth, and through other people. I have felt him calling me in my heart when I stray from him.
Have you ever thought of how this world would exist without him? For example, did you know that water is the only liquid that floats when frozen? God is so perfect, that he thought to make frozen water float so it wouldn't destroy the creatures of the sea and lakes.
It's easy to believe in something that you've seen. Faith isn't about what you can see, it's what you can feel in your heart by establishing a relationship with God and trusting in what he has in store for you. Our human minds are simple and cannot grasp all of the things that God can do. God wants you to listen to your heart and to pray to him. Feel God through your heart.

Knowing that God is real is different from having faith that He exists. I am not a mentally insane agnostic. Thank you very little.
1. Knowledge of God does not obviate faith. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, the Children of Israel, Joshua, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephtah, David, Samuel and the prophets all had knowledge of God but it was because of their faith that were commended and were able to do great things.
2. "Would you say to your friend that is standing in front of you, 'I have faith that you exist'?" No. Neither do say I have faith God exists. I have faith that God created humanity in His image and gave us free will and asks that we care for the earth and each other.
3. "Either he exist or not". False. God exists. Your unbelief in God does not disprove His existence. "faith in irrelevant". As regards the question of God's existence, true. However, faith is relevant to living a meaningful life. See the examples in Hebrews chapter 11.
4. "Having faith in God is a sign of stupidity." Then let Abraham, Moses, Jesus, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Martin Luther King, Jr., Abraham Joshua Heshel, Elie Wiesel be considered stupid. If faith in God makes me stupid, then I'm proud to be numbered in their company.
5. "Simply having faith doesn't make God real." True. Faith in God's existence doesn't make it real. However, God is. Whether you choose to believe it or not has no bearing on the fact that He is. A deaf person cannot hear music. That doesn't mean there is no such thing as music. A blind person cannot see color. That doesn't mean there is no such thing as color. A faithless person cannot know God. That doesn't mean there is no God.

Dear Sexking,
Faith could be defined as belief in the personally inexperienced, or impersonally experienced, though that is a simple definition. Therefore...
1) I have Faith in the existence of God as much as in the existence of Pluto, other galaxies, World War II, and you.
2) That would be a true statement, though the reliance on Faith would not be nearly as great as to a chat-friend, for instance.
3) Using my definition, this statement is wrong.
4) Your sudden shift from attempted argument to moronic statement doesn't help you.
5) That's obvious.

Having faith in God means having faith in his abilities... you're exactly right, there is no faith needed to know if he exists or not because He Does Exist

You do not understand the meaning of faith. Faith is the belief in the truth, value, trustworthiness of God. Faith is also loyalty and allegience to God. I am not an agnostic, I believe that God is my creator and testify to my belief. An agnostic will not commit to a belief or nonbelief in God. My faith is the result of my belief in God. Your right my faith does not make God real, He doesn't need me to believe in order to exist. Your nonbelief doesn't change the fact God is real and He loves you.

Have you seen Jehovah God lately?
Faith is trust in God. Faith is a sign of genuine spirituality.
Having faith doesn't make God real, you are right.
God was real before I had faith.
You can see your friend standing in front of you with your eyes.
Christians see God's creations in front of us with our eyes.
Would you believe me if I told you that men did not build the house you live in, because you can not see them now with your eyes? Do you have faith men built your house?
Having faith in God is smart, and wise.

The CREATOR (Who is a GOD too) does Everything using FAITH (the Substance of Thing's Hoped for).
Everything is made out of FAITH, a Real Spiritual Substance that come's from the CREATOR.
If the CREATOR would Undue(De-Create) what HE has used FAITH to CREATE, Everything, including US, would CEASE to EXIST, cept' HIMSELF. Then HE would have to start over again.
Ask yourself this Question, "What keep's the stuff in the Atom's and Molecule's aSpinning?"
GOD is on the THRONE, and the Answer is-----GOD HIMSELF. Believe it or not. Ditto...........

What the?! We know that God is real that's why we have faith! What do you mean faith is irrelevant? For Example, What if you are condemned to death (knock on wood) and only your friend, let's say a lawyer or something, is the only key for you to survive? Wouldn't you place your faith on him to survive? To have faith is to trust! Only fools say there is no God! I hope you are not one.

Nothing will EVER make god real, the entire concept is ridiculous and laughable. I mean how pathetic is it for a bunch of adults to be running around believing in a complete fairy tale? Do they still believe in the easter bunny?
