Jewish who lived during Jesus time was different than those who live today.
The Sadducee ,who did not believe in resurrection ,did not survive after fall of Jerusalem in AD 70.
On the other hand,
the Pharisees did survived and continue stay until the revolts against the Roman in AD 125 where they were either killed,taken into slavery or expelled from Jerusalem.
It was only in AD 638 when the Muslims occupied the area that the Jewish was seen again in Jerusalem.
I should think that the Samaritans were descendant from Jesus time.

It's really the same difference as the people of any religion from 2,000 years ago and the people of that religion today. Religions have to progress with society or they'll die out. For example, there are certain laws that have changed because they no longer apply to modern times. The religion itself has the same values and most of the laws come from the same source, but its people are a lot more varied than 2,000 years ago. There are now many different sects of Judaism that didn't exist then. There's Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform Judaism, there are Sephardic and Ashkenaz Jews, there are Hassidic Jews, etc.

Kabbalah is Jewish mysticism. do no longer understand a good deal approximately Jehovah's different than that they do no longer rejoice holidays and the religion has surely no longer something to do with Judaism.
