how about come caffiene?
Seriously though, Guarana works as a stimulant. So does Crystal Meth, but I don't recommend it.

The answer to your question is yes. Some people are more concerned with the silly 2 points for answering the question or too ignorant to realize what has caffeine in it.You can try ephedrine if you have no specific health issues regarding stimulants.Other things are Panax Ginseng,Siberian Ginseng,Chinese licorice root.Ephedrine will work the best out of all of these.Sorry you've been a victim of people with low self esteem so they need to accumulate points on Yahoo! answers.I'm actually trying to answer your question and couldn't possibly care less about the points. And for the brain surgeon that said gurana the active ingredient IS caffeine.Kola nut is what gives cola its flavor and caffeine.Coke just decided on this spelling years ago.

Okay, I was a coffee addict but don't want my unborn baby to be, so I took my Mom's suggestion and purchased EMERGEN-C, a packet you put into cold water or juice. It gives you energy and is a vitamin supplement as well. I'm so glad it works! It sustains me just as good with more benefits as caffeine. And no... people don't always answer YOUR question, they just write what they want to.

HAHA! Kola nut and guarana are supposedly good natural alternatives to caffeine. I'm not sure if they can be found in pure form easily. I would check a vitamin store of some sort.
In drink form, you can find guarana in Sobe juice drinks...I'm not sure if they have caffeine in them though. :) Hope that helps!

I know what you mean. Some people are idiots! My doctor told me that water actually helps with energy. Hard to believe huh? Also, fresh juice. And also, foods that are high in protein and carbohydrates are great. Also, look at this website... it shows a lot of different things. http://www.dailybruin.ucla.edu/news/articles.asp?ID=33647

Yea I've noticed that. People either don't fully read the questions or they could care less and are just here to get "pointless points".
Sorry, I don't have an answer to your caffine alternatives question.

Once you get weened off caffeine, things with natural sugars, like fruit, can give you a boost.
I pack an apple for after my workouts in the mornings. It gets me to lunch.
Oh, to answer your first question, sure people read. The just don't read with COMPREHENSION.

Take it easy.
I asked this question a few months ago. People said that 12-hour non-drowsy Sudafed with antihistamine/decongestant helps. I still haven't tried it, though.
