Road march can actually be considered PT. PT is just that physical training and it is is talking about exercising your body for conditioning. As long as the road march is long enough to increase your heart rate and keep it elevated for more then 20 mintes then you are reaching the desired effect. In the Army we have a statement that says train as you fight. The road march is an excellent way to just that

No, PT is P)hysical T)raining. Marching is marching. Training is jogging or another form of exercise. Marching isn't P.T. at any time, even with a full pack. Suck it up, partner! Stop being such a baby.

A road march is certainly physical, but consider it as a tactical training infantry deployment.

Come Monday you'll have to relearn all over again.

25 miles out, 25 miles in , full field gear and everybody would sleep well over the weekend .
