American Chop Suey II

"This is an old family recipe. My family loves it. It's quick and easy. Elbow macaroni and ground beef are combined in a tomatoey sauce. The kids will eat this one!"

INGREDIENTS:
1 (16 ounce) package uncooked elbow macaroni
1 pound lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Cook macaroni according to package directions.
Meanwhile, in a separate large skillet over medium high heat, saute the ground beef and the onion for 5 to 10 minutes, or until meat is browned and crumbly. Drain thoroughly and leave the meat and onion in the skillet. Pour the two cans of tomato soup into the skillet and stir well to combine.
When noodles are done, drain thoroughly and return noodles to the pot. Add the hamburger mixture from the skillet to the pot. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.



Chili Dog Casserole I

"My cousin Donna made up this recipe several years ago and it's one my children love. It's like eating a chili dog, but with a fork."

INGREDIENTS:
8 hot dog buns
8 hot dogs
1 (15 ounce) can chili
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Tear up the hot dog buns and arrange the pieces in the bottom of the dish evenly. Slice the hot dogs into bite size pieces and layer the pieces over the buns.
Pour the chili over the hot dogs, sprinkle with the chopped onion, then spread some mustard over the chili and the onion. Top off with the cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.

It is very tasty and a little spicy; if you don't like it spicy, cut the amount of cheese in half - it will still have a little kick! This recipe is really easy, and even the pickiest eaters will love it."

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
12 slices white bread
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (24 ounce) jar vodka marinara sauce

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat your oven's broiler.
Place 6 slices of bread onto a baking sheet. Spread a small handful of the mozzarella cheese over each slice. Top with the remaining 6 slices of bread. Mix together the butter and garlic powder, brush some over the tops of the sandwiches, or spread with the back of a tablespoon. Sprinkle with dried oregano.
Place baking sheet under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown. Remove pan from oven, flip sandwiches, and brush the other sides with butter, and sprinkle with oregano. Return to the broiler, and cook until golden, about 2 minutes.
Cut sandwiches in half diagonally, and serve immediately with vodka sauce on the side for dipping.

1 cup mayonnaise
5 tablespoons Italian dressing
4 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise
4 tablespoons prepared mustard
1/2 pound thinly sliced deli turkey meat
1/2 pound thinly sliced cooked ham
1/2 pound thinly sliced Swiss cheese
1 cup dill pickle slices
1/2 cup olive oil

DIRECTIONS:
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and Italian dressing. Spread mixture on hoagie rolls. Spread each roll with mustard. On each roll, arrange layers of turkey, ham, and cheese. Top each with dill pickle slices. Close sandwiches, and brush tops and bottoms with olive oil.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Place sandwiches in skillet. Cook sandwiches for 2 minutes, pressing down with a plate covered with aluminum foil. Flip, and cook for 2 more minutes, or until cheese is melted. Remove from heat, place on plates, and cut in half diagonally.

Beef Stew

Ingredients:
2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes 1/4 cup flour1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 1/2 cups beef broth 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 clove garlic, minced 1 bay leaf 1 tsp paprika2 potatoes, diced 1 onion, chopped 1 stalk celery, sliced

Directions:
Put meat in stoneware. Sprinkle flour, salt and pepper over meat and stir to coat. Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix well. Cover cook on Low 10 to 12 hours or on High for 5 to 6 hours. Stir thoroughly before serving.

Southwest skillet: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

3/4 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 can Campbell's® Condensed Mushroom Soup
1/4 water
1 can (about 14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 can (about 15 oz.) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
3/4 cup uncooked Minute® White Rice
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Tortilla chips

Directions:

COOK beef with chili powder in skillet until browned. Pour off fat.

STIR in soup, water, tomatoes and beans. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 10 min. Remove from heat.

STIR in rice. Cover and let stand 5 min. Top with cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.

Tuna Noodle

1 bag wide egg noodles
1/2 c. milk
2 cans mushroom soup
2 cans tuna
1 can peas
2 ounces velveeta cheese

Bring two quarts of water to a boil. Stir in egg noodles. Boil until tender. Romove from heat and add milk, cheese, soup, tuna and peas. Toss all together and return to low heat to warm all through and melt cheese.

It's creamy and good!!!

Tator Tot Casserole
1lb ground beef - cook
1 big can cream mushroom soup
Frozen Tator Tots
Frozen broccoli pieces
Cheese - sliced or shredded

Fry your meat - add soup - mix together
in a baking dish = pour meat mixture - add broccoli - then tator tots, then cover with cheese - bake 400 for about 35 min. Until tator tots are done.
Very good - I always make this for an easy meal and my family loves it.

Put chicken in a crock pot with Cream of Chicken soup or Cream of mushroom soup. Let it cook all day...very easy. And it tastes great.
