My hair used to be like that. You need a really good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner like Nexxus Therrappe or Nexxus Humectress. Also try the products containing "Silk" in the name. When you condition your hair, put on a plastic cap and leave the conditioner in for 20 minutes. DO NOT BLOWDRY. Comb through and braid your hair to dry after using a nice leave in conditioner. Parneveau makes a good one. All of this is sold at Sally's Beauty Supply and to save money instead of Nexxus, there is a copy brand called Generic. Be sure you're taking a multivitamin, drinking at least a gallon of water daily and eating fruit and veggies often. Your soft shiny hair begins on the inside, not out. Lots of work, but you will be very pleased with the results within just 3 weeks or less. ALSO, you only need to wash your hair every few days unless it gets really greasy.

check your diet first are getting the proper nutrients do you take a daily multi vitamin? proper hair care starts w/ the diet. make sure you are using the right shampoos for your type of hair needs and be very sure that you always condition your hair w/ a good conditioner.thermal appliances used daily are not good to use unless you wash your hair often.

depending on what texture type your hair is, you may want to try and moisturizing shampoo, and a really good penetrating strengthener conditioner.
