My car has been fully repaired & has been back on the road for a couple of years. It is not shown as a write off on the V5, but shows up as one on an HPI check. I would like to have it removed, but can't seem to find info on who to contact to do this.

If the vehicle has got a writeoff cat. against it, it is unlikey you'll be able to get it removed. The writeoff mark is there to inform buyers of the vehicles history. Even if the vehicle is in showroom condition now, one cannot hide it's past.
