I'm gonna answer even though I didn't get an invite...I'm black and have natural hair and so many white men (never women) want to touch my hair. They are just curious, so I don't take offense and usually let them. I think in the grand scheme of things, satisfying someone's question about the difference in hair textures is a small thing when you consider all the other race problems out there.

I'm 30 yrs old and have had black friends since middle school we use to play with each others hair. The black girls really liked playing with my hair because it was long, they would sit and braid or twist my hair for hours. We've never been embarrassed of it and neither of us were offended because we are friends. But i think alot of white people are just curious as to what black peoples hair feels like.

my friend from work is black, and its funny, we had like a half hour conversation about how our hair was different from eachothers its kinda interesting really. basically our hair is just the opposite, mine would get oily and thats why i shampoo, she needs to add oil...weird

two of my daughter's are bi-racial(black & italian). both of them have different texture of hair. i've overheard people saying that one took more after my side and the other has "white people hair"
it does tend to tick me off sometimes but people are just ignorant sometimes. you just have to ignore them
