I use Ringo.com to share pictures of our baby and us across the world, I dont like the idea of just anyone accessing the pictures as they are a private friends and family thing as Im sure everyone would appreciate. Are there any good sites I can use to only invite friends and family to view them.? Or can my pictures on Ringo be made private so only my friends can see them? I thought that this was the case but its not.

Are kodak gallery, snap fish etc any good for this? Is thre something better? Thanks for the advice.....

Yahoo has a Photo Album as does Walmart and many of the photo processors.

I set up websites for a living and use Linux as the OS,

I use an Open Source photo gallery Coppermine, it requires Apache/Mysql/PHP is fairly easy to setup if you have some unix and scripting know how.

Yahoo has a good photo gallery. You can also have prints made. There's an option to allow only those with a password to view them. I use it a lot for family photos. You can also set it up where others can have the ones they want printed.

Another great site is photobucket.com. It can be set up with a password or made public. It also has neat features. You can make some cool picture collages and if you have a myspace, or website it gives you the HTML.

Yahoo photos and webshots are the best to upload and share your own photos but be sure you have a back up files. ;) Good luck. Im into webshots because you can choose to private viewing ( only you ) and go to a public viewing that all can see.

I love kodak gallery. You can invite friends to view your "albums" and it is soooo easy to edit prints and order prints.

kodakgallery.com provides many features for online photo album and you can have fun with it.

However the products aren't what you see. I was disappointed a few times by order some of them. Fortunately they gave me credit.
