your kidding, right? dating is where two people in a relationship go out to a place to spend time with eachother and get to know eachother on a more intimate level. if things go right, they fall in love, eventualy get married, and life a happy and full life. if things don't go as planned, then they break up, which means they don't date eachother anymore unless they get back together.

Its when you like someone and you go out on dates with them to the movies and stuff. Its the step before a serious relationship, it helps you get to know a person and see if they are what you want.
