Are you saying you're the one with manic depression and you're involved with a man who has a brain injury? To answer that, you'd have to talk to both your doctors. I assume he also sees a mental health professional. A lot would depend on how severe both your problems are. If you are Bipolar I or II and a rapid cycler, it could cause problems even if his injury isn't that severe. On the other hand, if the manic depression is more of a cyclothymia nature, you may be able to handle both conditions.

I think a brain injury can effect peoples personality and moods. I would encourage the person to see a doctor and get professional help.
