I think that is very dependent. I think it speaks more to anyone who has that "know-it-all" attitude. And that doesnt have to be someone who believes in God. There are some people who are so adament about there being no God, that they are as disguisting as those people who swear serving god their way is best.
I think it really just speaks to arrogant people in general. Arrogance is not attractive. No one likes a person who claims to have all the answers and is so closed minded they dont even consider other possibilities. That is what slows down the progress of man kind. Arrogant people who think they have arrived, and as a result choose to stop learning.
As long as we continue learning, we can continue growing and progressing as individuals and as a society.

The truth is out there but like many people we are not attracted to the truth because of many personal reasons: it's too simple, it's not exciting, it's humble, it's meek, etc. The truth is that we are made by God to worship Him. He loves us as His own because He made us. Just like if you made something, maybe invent a computer program or write a thesis you feel good about it and it's yours. Only difference though is that these things can't love you back but we can love God back if we want to. The meaning of life is right there infront of you - look around and look in your Bible. SKeptism is fashionable now but the pure and simple truth still and will remain forever. God is love and we should worship Him because He loves us and wants to save us from the bondage of sin and Satan.

I watched that show last night. I would not apply that quote to everybody, but there are a lot of people that it should apply to such as your John Edwards. I personal believe there are good people who think they can really help others, and they are the ones not on TV. You loose credibility when you go on TV to me because people say they want to help others when all they are really helping are themselves.

No, because knowledge of God is openly available to everyone. It's not a lie if you actually know it.
But it IS impossible to know it ALL.
Oh, and South Park, while funny, is a fictional comedy cartoon. It is not reality. If you seek deep truths in cartoons, you'll come up empty-handed.

Certainly. Nobody truly knows the meaning of life. They may know the meaning of their life or just chose their own. So far as "god" goes, nobody could know all about it. They may have learned all there is to learn from their religion about their "god" but, the reality is they could never know all about "god", if there really is one. However, if I were to say "I am my god" then of course, I could say, with the utmost confidence, that I know all about god, due to it is me.
