Having flown that weekend, airlines often black out their least expensive fares because they can sell literally every seat. Having said that, I would suggest waiting a bit longer and see what happens. Is Islip an option for you? could be that the cheapest fare is going to be out of Islip on Southwest...but you can only book seats through Dec. 10th right now...keep checking...Southwest should extend their reservation dates soon.
